Saw this film in Australia last week days after it was released by Village Cinemas - utterly gobsmacking and brilliant. Ignore the mainstream media critics - this movie is intensely beautiful, powerful and will keep you on the edge of your seat like a Daniel Craig James Bond thriller.
Child exploitation and the sexualisation of children - everywhere - not just in the hard core sex trade and not just in Columbia - needs to be called out and stamped out: in Australia, in the US, and in every nation - so go see Sound of Freedom in theatres and send a message to the film critics, movie producers, governments and corporations - no more child sexualisation and the commercial exploitation of kids.
The plot, scenes, screenplay, dialogue and acting are incredible: the child actors are on par with Sunny Pawar's debut performance in Lion. There are no graphic scenes. If you are in any doubt that this movie is based on a real life story - video footage of the actual real life traffickers being arrested and charged, is shown at the end. This movie will keep you suspended, enthralled, and make you cry and cheer - it will give you hope and inspiration that there is the possibility of justice against perpetrators in the world. This movie's seismic impact will follow you, right out of the theatre. *Well done to Hoyts and Village Cinemas for bringing this film to Australia!

One of the best and most moving movies I’ve ever seen. Please go and see it and wait until the special message at the end before you leave the cinema.

Yes, it's based on real events, and my brother has actually met Tim Ballard (in Dallas ,TX). This movie does truthfully expose the nature of child trafficking, but like every Holocaust movie ever made, it doesn't come close to depicting how bad the real situation is. My issue with this particular movie is that it perpetuates an image of human trafficking as something that happens in undeveloped countries to marginalised families, with the people preying on them (always depicted as men) are dangerous criminals. This is only part of the reality.
The victims are not only children in poor countries waiting to be rescued by a handful of "fearless, virtuous Americans" or other wannabe heroes from wealthy western countries. The victims are also children you drive past in your pretty Australian suburban neighbourhoods on your way home from work. The monsters are your neighbours, pastors, yoga instructors, baristas, veterinarians... you get the picture. Anyone (man, woman, "non-binary" person) who pays for sex with someone who is underage, whether they know the person is underage or not, is a sex offender. And they create the demand the drives this market.
This is the revenue stream for human trafficking. And these buyers would likely be just as disgusted by the idea of trafficking helpless kids in Colombia as the directors of this film. But they pay for sex. They do not know whose child they are paying to rape. So long as they are told it is a consensual adult "sex worker", they're quite willing to do it.
Australia, change your laws on prostitution. They're disgusting. So are Germany's. Both of our countries need to wake up and accept our social responsibility for this. People's bodies are not for sale. Full stop. Follow Sweden's example and evolve already.

correct. in fact, trafficking is also targeted at the middle class girls. middle class girls are considered the 'ultimate sex object' by the elite, many of them actually despise lower class ghetto girls and will even refuse to abuse them believing they are low class. also, many of these poorer girls are malformed from poverty and malnutrition, many of them stout or malformed or too short, with weird faces, weird arms and legs, definitely not very attractive. the elite find them grotesque so most of them don't actually end up as sex slaves but rather as hard labourers or even sources of adrenochrome. the elite views middle class girls as their ultimate satisfaction. this is why kidnapping is targeted at middle class girls like madelein mccain.

Ooohhh my GOD the sexual abuse perpetrator!!! 🤢 He's in horrendous trouble with multiple criminal charges and destroyed countless lives. Horrendous man. The set ups he's created and being excommunicated from his church?! Perverted acts of public exhibitionism?! Crimes against his colleagues now suing him.

If you cannot comprehend and understand the truth, precisely because your own education is inadequate, then you defend yourself against the simple "words" because they appear too abstract and look for simple explanations. Go read a science book and not the Bible, you simpleton.
