    I find male writers obsession with virginity to be super eerie tbh

    • @minitwink16
      @minitwink16 ปีที่แล้ว +69

      Why do you think it's eerie? It's proof you're the first to have someone or that the person is untouched, and that can be seductive too to be the first to teach someone. I mean lots of women writers talk about virginity too. I'm a woman. Don't think there's anything wrong with guys thinking about their wants, or writing fantasies.

The real-life story of Spanish serial killer Manuel Blanco Romasanta (1809-1863), also known as the "Tallow Man", who killed several women and children, sold their clothes, and extracted their body fat to make soap, resembles Grenouille's methods in some ways.

    Stephanie, you should read a book called 'Confessions' by Kanae Minato. It's about a teacher who wants to take revenge on her students that allegedly caused her daughter's death. It's full of twists and turns and it's interesting in the way it deals with true crime culture

    I remember when my sister's bf at the time finished the book said that he was an idiot, because he could have been so rich. And that made me curious to read it. I loved the book! And I know everyone knows the story of The Exorcist, but I found the book to be written really well too! If you enjoyed this book, you would The Exorcist. Really beautiful methaphors and paints the scenes so vividly! Sent chills down my spine!

    THIS ONE. This one is my most favorite book ever. I found it first in the school library while in high school and I could never understand why did I love it so much, but you literally described it so perfectly at the beggining: it is the most beautifully written book I've ever read; like just the way it describes everything in such detail,, even the crudests things, is just so raw but just so beautifully put into words.
    Also, this one started me on the murder/mistery/true crime train, so there's that too lol
    Thank you for making these videos, you're a joy to listen to ❤
    PS: I loved that last detail about the last drop falling on the ground of Paris, so that's why it is known as the city of love; that's just *chef's kiss*

    I was more interested in that dog then the story, but to be fair I was more sad seeing the dog than hearing the story as my dog is just the same as urs like the breed and I miss him a lot. After all the story was interesting , lol.

    Honestly, I've never heard a better review of this story. Amazing. And rolled, sliced hot dogs baked as well. Even more amazing.
    The book... Creepier than any other story. Before or since. Thank you.
