- In Chapter 4 of my 'Deserts Of India' series, I'm taking you along on a 3-day bird photography marathon in the Little Rann of Kutch. Not only will we take to the skies, but we'll also explore birdlife on land as well as water.
The Little Rann of Kutch is an incredible desert paradise for both resident and migratory marvels of flight. Housing species small and big, it's a gem of a location for birding and bird photography.

Lovely . A breathtaking episode. I have spent more than 2 years in the Greater Rann of Kachch, could able to see many species of birds and fauna. The reminds me of the period I spent there. Flemingoes, Cormorants, Pelicans, Bar headed goose, Common Crane, Drongos, Larks , Shrike Stints, Ruffs, Steppe Eagle, Indian vultures, Marsh Harriers, Spotted owlets are some of the birds sighted.

Breathtaking images and a storytelling video which I enjoyed immensely! It's such a shame about the litter, you should bring a bag with you to collect it if you happen to find something on a spot where you are. I do that sometimes as well if I'm in a nature reserve. I love the footage of the kingfishers, the light, colours and setting is so beautiful. Looking forward to the next series! Stay safe!

Excellent video Kenneth, really a fan of your work, what time of year was this since you had some amazing findings. I am looking to film the other side of the border in Nareri Lagoon, zero point south of Badin in Pakistan. For my WWF documentary we had sightings of flamingos but there were no signs of Pelicans. We photographed the Steppe Eagle. I am planning after October this year. Thanks and well wishes from this side of the border my long lasting dream to visit India and film majestic Tigers and see the thriving wildlife here hunting is very common even the migratory birds are not safe.
Thank you. Winter is a good time for migratory birds. November to February is your timeframe. If you want a good species count, go every month for a solid week to 10 days at the very least. Way too much ground to cover.
Come to Karnataka for good wildlife and explore more form #india

Hi Kenneth, really enjoy your channel. Your shooting Lumix full frame now, have to totally moved away from Canon? or is it purely for Video? I've noticed you have also shot with Sony a9.
Glad you're enjoying the videos, Mike. I use several cameras to shoot. 4k 60fps is my sweet spot and my 5D IV only does 4k 30 with very heavy file sizes. It's a fantastic stills camera.
My future chapters will feature the Canon R6 that shoots 4k 60 in 10bit. Waiting to hear more updates about the Canon R3, might pick that baby up if it has no overheating issues.
