    Your fleet is very similar to mine, Polaris for my capital, Galaxy for my modular base builder/etc, Crucible for my repair-salvage-and tow, Arrastra for my mining, F8C and F7A MK2 for fighter, Zeus CL and MR, and enough credits stored for something else (medium salvage cough cough) lol! Another great video topic as always, still watching!

      thank you :) a lot of people seem to also really want that medium salvage ship, really good to know I'm not alone there lol

    Your fleet looks like mine lol. I don't have a galaxy, but an Arrastra.

    What kinda frustrates me about the Vulture is the forced limitations. Luckily it can easily be rectified so I'm not belly aching too bad but, I hate how there's roughly 6 scu of storage space left out along that wall of the starboard side bulkhead. There's two ways to get out of the ship. If players want, let them risk it for max capacity. Just like they did with the C-1 Spirit. It would really be awesome if we got a grid increase to 19-21 up from 13. Just magnetize the whole space down there and let us plug away.

    i have to go throough this video again i would say keep the 600i explore, and i have the carrak in my fleet due to it still holds, your looking at org sizes on these ships but the carrack still has drone repair and posible refule and favrication as well. then the hole scan down the worm hole awsomness as well.

    Yep. Good taste in ship indeed. The same ones as mine are Polaris, Galaxy, 600i, Zeus MKII CL.

    Looks like your lacking an SRV. Think about finding good ships to salvage and towing them to your secret salvage location so you can clean them up. You also could use a C2 as you would want to solo sell the salvaged materials in bulk.

    A few comments... I enjoy your content! Keep the 600i Exp...it is a good ship now and will be great after the rework. Keep the IronC...it will do a lot WHEN it gets in game. Start a Org and I will be your first member...lol. thanks for all you do!

      Thank you! I really do want to do a shipping, and trading Org, with some crafting too, glad you're enjoying the videos :)

    Great fleet! I think you should keep that Ironclad upgrade. The utility of that ship is fantastic - I have a CCU to one as well that I am seriously considering keeping.
    The E1 covers passenger gameplay - really like the space uber idea! I was thinking you may be able to get your hands on a Zeus ES for exploration. You love the Zeus, and it is different enough from the CL to compliment your base building to find locations. So you could melt the Super Hornet or Freelancer for one.
    My other pick is to compliment base building and let you run liquid and gas cargo: The Starfarer. Interior is brutal right now, but the utility is awesome. Being able to ship in oxygen, water, hyrogen, etc. plus standard cargo and light vehicles on one platform. 🙂 Hope this helps, thanks for another fun video!

    • @ZyvhurStudios
      @ZyvhurStudios  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes I'm really starting to think I'll keep the Iron clad, and the ES is also a good idea, thanks for the suggestions :)

      @@ZyvhurStudios Any time, it was fun. I was on the fence with the Ironclad for a while myself, but I'm going to commit to it now. I forgot to mention that I was glad you talked about the Vulture and Reclaimer in the video - I have been struggling with these ships for a while where I can't make up my mind. The Vulture is just a bit too small (I wish it could hold more), and the Reclaimer seems like it's just a little too big. I'm hoping we get confirmation on the size of the Ironclad's hangar: if it can store a Vulture, I might just stick with that so I can use them together with some friends. That Ironclad Q&A can't come soon enough...

    I've been meaning to do a similar video since I just allowed myself to get concept ships. My setup is similar but I'm really looking forward to a pocket carrier setup for a Vulture and maybe another ship. That was really my thought to handle the issue of not having much room in the Vulture.
    I use to hate the Reclaimer but it really seems like a Drake ship to me, I just didn't want a stink bug. But, the thing really grew on me, and 3.20-3.21 really sold it for me.

    • @ZyvhurStudios
      @ZyvhurStudios  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes do it! I love seeing those videos :) and I agree CIG is really leaving a ton of money on the table by not making a solo salvage ship with more room

    I am the support logistics kind of player so I have ships my org will need, I let them deal with the combat ships. I do have a few but only to have fun with. pioneer, endeavor, Vulcan, crucible, 600i, expanse, ironclad, odyssey, reclaimer, and a bunch of smaller ships that support org gameplay/getting or refining crafting materials

    the fleet looks nice. i would add a connie (any really) for a strong generalist ship. i got myself a phoenix this ILW. The Taurus is also strong. Andromedar is the most tanky one. so literally pick your flavor with those.

    • @ZyvhurStudios
      @ZyvhurStudios  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes I'm really big fan of the connie series so that's certainly a consideration :)

    Keep the Explorer and ditch the Tourer, buy that Tourer module for it later on as its modular.
    The Explorer does same as Tourer but is alot better and it also comes with a G12 Rover.

    I think the number one thing to consider is how many people you will play with and what can you crew affectively? The engineering gameplay is a IQ test. Most people with fleets like this will proberlly never use them much.

    • @JL-rj9fl
      @JL-rj9fl 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      To a degree, perhaps. I agree humans are better, but we know NPCs will be a thing. One of the developers, Thorsten I believe was his name, mentioned that as long as a ship is maintained, wear and tear might mean some maintenance every once and a while you could do at a port. The only downside I can really see is cost for NPCs and the fact that they can't proactively anticipate problems. They would be very reactionary, making them very suboptimal in combat. Programmatically, the AI for engineers would be easy for them to implement, any role really...
      That's long term though, short term it likely will suck if NPC systems are not in place. It will be interesting to see what the short term thinkers do and if they end up regretting downsizing fleets when the support systems are added.

    • @ZyvhurStudios
      @ZyvhurStudios  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I am still hopeful for blades and NPCs for solo play but I also want to do group stuff with the channel some day :)

    Personally, I'm not a big fan of the Polaris (or Perseus). Their main purpose is to target ships in the size of a Hammerhead's or above. A majority of ships though will be small to medium sized ships probably in the end and as such its value is rather overrated I think. The Polaris also requires up to 14 players to be fully functional, which is already quite a number. I think plenty of players underestimate the number of players that are needed for particular ships.
    While I see the multi-purpose value of the Galaxy as big bonus, it also requires 6 people to operate fully, which as a daily driver, unless you have those 5 players to constantly play with, is already quite a number. I therefore see its purpose mainly in one of its 3 module focuses - medical gameplay, refining or base building. In order for hauling, The Zeus CL has double the capacity. As such I don't see the Galaxy as hauler at all.
    The Zeus CL has like 6 SCU freight more compared to the Max (which almost feels ancient by now). I'm not 100% sure if the Zeus will also fit through the tiniest jump gates which the Max will, but I assume so as they don't differ in size much. As such, to me the Zeus is slightly superior to the Max but you mentioned that you just hold on to the Max till a medium salvager is introduced which I can fully understand. Retaliator is OK for torpedoing ships from the size of a Conny upwards but I don' t see it as hauler as well. The Ironclad is probably the best bang for its buck in terms of cargo size and flexibility.
    I agree on the Vulture and your E1 as "taxi" ship, maybe get a 125a or something of that size as well to grab your stuff back in case you crashed somewhere. But I think in terms of the Hornet variants you have, there might be better ships availalbe for combat purposes. For 2 seaters I think Vanguards will be stronger and potentially more flexible. I even like the Redeemer as 4-seater Gunship. Maybe also get an Eclipse or Scorpius in in your combat-focused mix.
    Not sure about touring ships. I don't see their value yet and I also don't have any ideas how such a game loop might look like in the end. While I always ask people to not buy ships because of the value ships provide now or the balance they have now but try to see the big picture it serves once 1.0 hits live servers, I lack creativity to figure out how touring gamplay might look like in future. As such, my opinion on these ships is rater ... limited.
    My list of swapping ships would therefore look like this: 600i Touring, Freelancer Max, F7C Super Hornet MK1, F7A Hornet MK2 (even it is currently slightly OP)
    Ships to have a look at: Vanguard variants, Redeemer

    i have a carrack because its the games best maping and data ship according to CIG (bigger or smaller there are no ships in concept or in existence that can fill the role of a carrack yet until its fully functional the carrack is almost useless

    What's disturbing me about earning money in game for ship purchases is the possibility of a wipe. I know 4.0 will have a wipe. So any ships you have now paid with in game currency will go away as far as I believe. Can you confirm?
