- Two Philadelphia prisoners were able to leave their holding cells and walk through an unmanned housing unit before escaping to freedom through a hole in a perimeter fence, according to a new report obtained Tuesday by FOX 29.

This is a case of corrections being laid back, and coming in to work doing the same thing as a routine just to get a check, twice they did the count and no one noticed inmates missing. Until the next shift noticed, that morning shift was still asleep. If 2 inmates got out, can you imagine the contraband that gets in,
It’s more to it than ppl realize and unless you work in that environment you really wouldn’t know. The commissioner isn’t stating all the facts. Unfortunately crap rolls downhill but in this case it definitely needs to start at the tippy top so everyone is held accountable for the part they play.

I don’t care if pic is under staffed by 100 guards. This is clearly an inside job. I don’t give a fuck what anybody says there’s no way you can tamper with that fence without rigging security. Damn fences, or alarmed and even on shift change, everybody just does it, leave their post there’s an early end and a late end.
Most likely one of the inmates family members probably nerves a few of the guards that can help make that happen. If that was not an inside job, then there’s incompetence that being said the state needs to take over and whoever is responsible for these inmates getting out needs to be put into prison them selves .
Start by holding yourself accountable and resign.
When you have woke leadership bottom to top, it is inevitable that this will happen. This is only the beginning as well.

I worked juvenile corrections, & if those doors are not locked, the light in the control room will be red. Green Light tells you that the doors are locked.
.. that maybe where the misinterpretation came .. we were taught as children red light stop, green light go 🤔
@aermax 7321 , Naw. They were short staff for months like we were shirt staff. The weekends are the worst days & Sunday, are even harder. I left juvenile corrections in 2016. We were severely short staffed on the weekends, which makes it dangerous.

The focus should be on the guard or guards that helped them escape. This was no accident or random negligence. Inmates groom female guards to help them get favors. My bet is that a female guard had a relationship with one of them and helped pan the escape.
