Don’t use the door when there is a live fire, that gasket burns and smokes, the door also blocks the front vent. I balance it on the edge and use it for wind blocking while using gas and it reduces heat up time. I think the door will be useful when using charcoal
whats the point of the door accessory if you can't use it with a live wood flame or gas lit? for example sourdough so you keep the front closed so it can rise etc.
Thinking about it though, might be good not to have a huge fire without the vent slightly open to prevent any flare ups like if you don’t “burp” a Kamado style grill
How is the door working out with the Dome? Is the design not really daft given that the handle has an exposed metal piece running down the length of the handle on both sides?? 🤯
The only thing I do mate is give it a good burn off when I’m finished. I see a lot of people put a lot of flour under their dough when doing things like pizza and there’s no need for that. That’s what also sends to stone black. But I just turned up the heat for 5 to 10 minutes and then give it a good Bush
@@skinnyboybbquk perfect, thanks. Just got the dome so trying to figure it out. Was putting flour to help the peel not stick but it’s not working anyway
I noticed i cannot reach the 945 degree Fahrenheit with gas on my Gozney Dome for cooking pizza; with gas. On a cold day. You think the Gozney Rope Door can be used to maintain reach 900 ℉ temperature?
Another very good review,I’d like to see bread cooked in there.I don’t see an issue with using the door as you suggested either. But they have covered there ass with that little disclaimer.

I emailed gozney about this and they say it should NOT be used with gas.
Hey mate you need to get yourself some Bar Keeper's Friend Bar Keeper's Friend 737g Soft Cleanser to clean the dome.
Thanks for watching.
I actually used the pink stuff came up a treat but I kinda like having a little there ha ha ha

I don’t have a problem with the design and in truth can’t fault it. I have enjoyed using it when I have it’s been fun learning to get to right temps
How do you keep the stone so clean, any pointer please?

Don’t use the door. Do you have the arch ? The arch is amazing cuts the heat up time practically in half and holds temp amazingly
You should not use the door with gas as propane can build up and cause a deadly explosion
Boom
incorrect information - do not ever use the door with gas -
