What I mean by that is take $50 each month of grocery funds and get can soups, beans, sugar, powder milk etc. to have back so if something happen u will always have food back for those times. For example, rice that is 99 cents for 8 ounces is more expensive than rice that is $1.49 for 3 pounds because the unit price is higher for the smaller package. At WalMart, the unit price is highlighted in orange on the shelf. Also compare store brands to nationally advertised brands and choose what you like better, not just which looks more familiar or has prettier packaging.

Just found your vlog. Great content! Lard is pig fat. If it doesn't contain any chemicals, it's actually healthier than hydrogenated fat like Crisco. Peanut oil can be filtered and reused for frying. To save money, I make cookie dough from scratch, scoop it out onto a parchment lined cookie sheet, freeze it, then put the frozen cookie dough balls into a zip lock bag and bake as many as I need. I stopped buying cereal years ago. Too many carbs that can cause diabetes. It's hard when you have kids. They love cereal and it's a fast breakfast. I make a list before I go to the store. I take inventory of my pantry and refrigerator and freezer to see what we need, then I think about meals we'll have, maybe even make a menu. I usually know the prices in advance because I go to the website and look them up. That way I can add up my food prices before I go to the store. Everything is so expensive these days. Almond flour isn't good for frying. It's got a lot of natural fat and it won't stick to food. Regular flour works best. Almond flour isn't sweet at all.
I got the banana nut bread also and I did not like it and have no flavor and I even added more sugar and more vanilla it still wasn't good to me taste flowery what the blueberry was good and the peanut oil it makes your food tastes a little better and it don't burn as easy😅

stear clear of any cookware that isn't staintless steel, cast iron like let crueset or its copy, or calphalon. I get mine at second hand stores, cheap, work like champs. I also get my cuisinarts, and kitchen aids from second hand stores. Good buys and they last.
The pouches of pork are good. I make a cassorole with it using boxedmac and cheese add a pouch or two of pouched pork . I like to put onions and green peppers in it too. It's really good.

Catfish have a stronger flavor. They are bottom feeder fish. I think they taste muddy because of that, They eat the trash on the bottom instead of fresh stuff floating, They usually are cheaper. Some people say they aren't as good for you but I don't know. All fish is mostly good so best to get what you like that's not crazy expensive.

Those Patak sauces are good. I use those occasionally, they have a brand at ALDIs I also buy. I add to them to make more authentic but they’re good for a quick meal if you have a taste for Indian. My family loves when I make Tikka masala or Butter chicken from scratch.

I just helped if you have a thyroid condition that’s what I said I thought it was for iron too. Sorry I misread it but the best salt to have is pink and salt sea salt. That’s what they say. You should be having if you got a Trader Joe’s. They have good pink salt that’s not that expensive. I don’t know if they have that where you live but that’s the best salt.

Table salt is good for it has good iodine in it. One has iodine in it and the other one doesn’t it’s good for your thyroid condition or if you have low iron, which I know one of your kids does or did I don’t know if they do anymore, I’m not saying your business, but I’m just trying to help and it’ll help them get their iron in their thyroid.
