What’s up Brock!. I think I could help you out with identifying a few of your fish. The fish with the yellow blaze is called a Zrock Lithobate. I think the blue OB is called a Blueberry OB Fryeri. The fish that you called a Fryeri is actually an Albino Dragonblood Peacock. And the other one that you called a Fryeri is an actual Fryeri but it’s a unique one. Almost looks like an Iceberg Fryeri with some orange mixed with it. The fish that you called a diamond sapphire is actually a Star Sapphire (but, very little so it’s hard to tell if it’s a deep water hap.) The little yellow fish could either be a juvenile Lemon Jake Peacock or a juvenile Sunshine Peacock. The fish that you called a Fusco might be either a Blue Dragonblood Peacock or a Red Shoulder Peacock. The orange fish with the different shaped mouth is actually a OB Mbuna. The fish that you thought was gonna be bright colored when it gets bigger is called a Nimbochromis Livingstoni. Hope this helps a bit.👍🏼 If I were to recommend anything I’d say to turn up the wave maker and face it towards to top of the water. African cichlids love to fight current and it helps with aggression

I think you should move that diamond sapphire into a different tank till it gets stronger! Great Tank!

Great video. My two favorite African cichlids are the malawi hawk and the marmalade cat.

That last fish that the store didn’t know. It looks like a Rostratus or “Malawi Sand Diver.” They look like that as Juveniles and then get a gorgeous, metallic blue/green color

7:00 mark you don’t want Africans to have territory, then they defend it. The rocks are just for breaks in the line of site
    8:02 that’s a star sapphire
9:55 that’s not a fusco looks like a red shoulder or maybe a blue regal
The fusco is the fish at 10:58
I gotta research the one at 11:10

Great fish choice's you have a blue shaphire is the one you where trying to name ..
Can i suggest you try finding a malawi trout, a malawi hawk, a white lips a thick lips, a sand diver and any buccochromis, I'd also suggest using sand as a substrate they love to sift through it and also a wavemaker is good for aggression and keeping the tank clean...

Thanks for the tips. This would’ve been better with sand, and I may eventually move them or change it.
I put the substrate in before deciding what fish I was getting.

Brock, I’m loving your videos n I’m not even yet into big fish! As a qualified horticulturalist I’m completely at home with Latin names n I think you’re doing great. What I’ve noticed is you guys, across the ‘pond’ call it ‘scientific’ names but in actual fact it’s only Latin, a ‘dead’ language n we can ligit pronounce it however we please! So just go for it n you’ll be correct!! God bless you and have a very happy Christmas 🙏✝️

Thanks a lot. I love big fish and big tanks but I also love nano fish and micro aquariums. My 55 gallon heavily planted is one of my favorites. I can’t wait for the shrimp population to explode in there.

Too bad your not in my area Brock. People give away african peacocks, haps and mbunas because no one wants them anymore. Local fish shops wont even take them. I had them for a number of years. No longer have nor want them. Youve got quite a collection started.
