Thank you for sharing our (Nepali) history and the moment (1960s). The boy singing at the beginning is about lord "Shree Krishna" is hiding in the branches of the tree interspersed with leaves. He has hidden the clothes of the village Gopinis who have gone to bathe naked in the river. The Gopinis (cowherds- women) are praying to Krishna to return the garments. " He then said "men and women never take a bath naked in water sources, otherwise god of water Barun will be angry (means water will be polluted). Have a good day.
I can't believe how beautifully this documentary has been created . My parents were born in 60's . I can now put those stories from my parents into picture. Thank you for sharing ❤

I have visited Nepal and I can say the way Nepali Hindus have preserved their culture and embraced it with modernity is quite commendable and there is a lot to learn form it.
This was from 1964 meaning the world had already two wars, had gone to space, planning to land on moon. But We were living so exotic and away from world. This shows we should never compare ourselves with other countries. We had started late to compete at world's market. I believe we aren't poor but we are young. Smart and hard working people are borning and developing themselves. Soon, We will be at the top. Until then, believe in urself, trust the process. #JaiNepal

My father was about one years old when this was documented A lot has changed New technologies new infrastructures more corruption more crime hatred mental problems addictions but still the rural place have that beautiful aura of this classic nepal We have changed a lot both for good and the bad

I am amazed to see this video but sad also Swiss people and their technology were here in 1964 AD but the places in here in this video still are not developed . The most terrifying is that some country were not born or independent in the world that time but thou they are rich and prosperous now , it raise questions like that our ancestors can’t outrun and outsmart the modern world quickly that’s why we are generations behind.
Please dont blame our ancestors , they gave us a sovereign country and a developed one cultural and naturally , now its yr and mine (our) turn to accelerate the development process , comeon man no one is rich enough to buy back yr past , i beleive we can only get how much is written there for us and we cant get it before the actual time ...., So stop cursing ancestor's

If you don’t ask questions to those people who are to blame them they will die like a hero without doing nothing for this society.
So true. It was almost impossible to produce smart people out of that little resources. The worse part for the fate of Nepal is none of the leaders turned out to be smart enough even to mimic what they have seen or experienced. What they learnt from developed countries they kept it to their premises only.

It is all because of effort of king Mahendra.. and his nationalist campaign.. every thing changes after 2046 or 100 king era.
