Thus movie makes no sense from the start what caused all this? why is grace is dying to stay with del when Patrick and violet never harm her? Why did grace kill Patrick? Why does del tries to enter unnoticed even after knowing Patrick didn't have ill intentions? What is the conflict in the movie?.....this movie is abysmally dense.

The people in the town, with their brain washed mindset, are prisioners like we are nowadays kinda prisioners of the pressure to be "good, friendly, wholesome, sucessfull Humans on Instagram" - While Peter is just himself. Maybe not "impressive", but honest. As Grace too - Sure, she has alot of sadness in her, anger and frustration. But rather than just "ignore it", she faces it.

Interestingly morbid and romantic. After Grace was willing to stay with him, he should have cared about her more. The kiss could be seen as her trying to seduce him, but it could also be seen as her attracted to him. IF there was a place with other survivors, then her being there is either to get something, or she really wants to be there. Having the "parents" show up out of no where might show she lied, but also seems weird. If there are survivors in their town, why does Grace want to stay here? If you cannot logically think of something she wants to steal, then maybe its to be there for you Del. Weird how society wants to numb everyone to the "negative emotions", and yet the game We Happy Few is somewhere along those lines. Society can take away the pain, but should we? To remember and learn from our mistakes is how we progress. Life is both good and bad things.

Because otherwise it had exactly the same plot as another similar movie made in the 1970's. They had to change it a little bit.
Erasing negative emotions could be to get over the trauma of all the untimely deaths that occurred around them, and to ease survivor's guilt.

Interestingly morbid and romantic. After Grace was willing to stay with him, he should have cared about her more. The kiss could be seen as her trying to seduce him, but it could also be seen as her attracted to him. IF there was a place with other survivors, then her being there is either to get something, or she really wants to be there.
Having the "parents" show up out of no where might show she lied, but also seems weird. If there are survivors in their town, why does Grace want to stay here? If you cannot logically think of something she wants to steal, then maybe its to be there for you Del.
Weird how society wants to numb everyone to the "negative emotions", and yet the game We Happy Few is somewhere along those lines. Society can take away the pain, but should we? To remember and learn from our mistakes is how we progress. Life is both good and bad things.
