Really helpfull video and very well produced. You clearly showed each feature and did it in a nice style getting straight to the points with no pointless verbal garbage. I’m especially impressed that you DIDN’T say “And now let’s get into it” as used by so many youtubers. Personally, it’s so annoying but others may like. Thankyou so much.
I just stuck the tip of an ice pick in a tube of E6000 adhesive and applied a bit to each clip hole for the dead cat and permanently attached the dead cat to mine. Indoor audio should be fine with the dead cat on and it seems the jack next to the mic is still accessible with the dead cat attached. I won't be using that jack anyway, so it doesn't matter if the dead cat is in the way. It's too much for me to do that rubber band thing like what you demonstrated. I can't see myself messing around with something like that, so I decided to just glue it on and solve the problem permanently. It's such a pity they didn't make it more secure with a twist on clip like with the pocket 3 mic. I don't see any replacement dead cats on Amazon for this mic, so I want to make sure I don't lose it because I'd have to purchase a new mic just to get a replacement dead cat.
Another Great video. Question. Im planning on starting a vlogging travel channel walking around cities etc. My question is if i stop and talk to random people on the street or in shops etc then my pocket 2 mic won't pick up their audio very well. How would i overcome this. Thanks and keep up the great work
@@billbuckleytutorials amazing thanks so much. Do you mind if i ask one more question 🤣 today i tried walking around my city making a vlog but i noticed two things. 1) as i move the camera around or basically turn round ( front facing) i noticed when playing the footage back that in those movements the footage would go extremely blurry, why is that? I wasn't moving crazy fast, just normal. 2) even with the wide angle lens attached and using a smatree power bank/handle extension. I still felt that in selfie video mode it seemed as if my face still took up too much of the frame. Is there anyway around that. Thanks for your help its really appreciated.
@@ralex6786 The selfie mode and your face is simply physics. The camera is Not wide enough at arms length so there is nothing you can do about that.. As far as everything being blurry . Make sure you are in AFC ( continuous auto focus) and make sure you tap on the screen somewhere in the middle of the scene . before you start. to film. Good luck!
This could be anything... LOl ok some questions: 1. Do you have the posket only or the do it all handle kit with the wireless mic? 2. Take your video and play it back on a computer ( or through your phone ) Do you hear sound? If so it recorded sound. ( or do you see an audio waveform?) it recorded sound. 3. You have to make sure you are actually recording sound when recording video. 4. If you do have the wireless mic You need to link it otherwise it wont record sound See 2:33 in the above video Cheers Bill
@@toumbas no you can also connect to the USBC on the bottom of the pocket with an adapter so you can use a lavalier mic www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08GQTLVC1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@@billbuckleytutorials it seems that it cannot record stere line ins. i tried it now, and while having a stereo minijack cable in the handle input,it still records the mics. in pro mode and stereo.
Very good video .But i saw same with youtuber young360 and still there was lot of noises .Seems many DJI pocket 2 have same noises .We need to convert audio . External mic not alwyas are answer .So good camera but still poor audio .Cheers
I have wireless mic dji pocket 2 but damage due to rain.. can i use any other wireless mic brand such as synco / seramonic / rode and connect to the camera? Can u do tutorial ?
The simplest way to check if it's all good is to get a USB C to 3.5mm adapter and connect it to the bottom of the pocket itself. sse the video 01:39 This will allow you to record directly to the pocket. No other system will attach to the do it all handle wirelessly ( Rode/seromonic etc) only the wireless DJI mic that comes with the do it all handle! You could use one of the wireless type mentioned if you plug it into the side 3.5mm port on the side of the do it all handle ( if its not damaged ) Good Luck and let us know if you get it working!
@@billbuckleytutorials the Do It All Handle works perfectly. Only the microphone damage. So it means I can use other brand too right and connect directly to the 3.5mm hole.. tq for ur explaination ☺️👍🏻
Rubber band is genius. Thanks
Thank you Bill. I love your informative videos about the Pocket 2. Your advice helped me a lot in shooting and editing my videos.

Awsome fix. I should do that to mine. . As you said even indorrs deadcat is file!
@@billbuckleytutorials yeah, problem solved 👌🏾. You can use a toothpick to apply the adhesive if you do not own an ice pick.

You can attach an external mic setup.
Check out this other video on youtube for a good setup example.

once I hear my dead cat click, it's solid.
I was probably doing something wrong! Is it held by magnet? If it is mines upside down because it literally throws it off 🤔
