I think you've made a good choice! Cloud Computing will give you more options, and more opportunities for remote work. I started off in technology by going to a community college and getting an associates degree in Information Systems Security. I then got a bachelor's degree in Software Development and Security, and then got a Master's degree in Cloud Computing and Architecture.....you don't need any of that, all you need is a willingness to learn! You don't need any expensive courses, use that money to pay for your certifications. You can learn everything you need to know for free from either TH-cam or Microsoft learn. If you like Azure, learn Azure, get a few certifications and take off, the fact that you have a TH-cam channel and you're willing to help others by creating tutorials will take you far!

Combine the two. Cloud Security is the sweet spot.

Can you say more on this. I'm trying to move into Cloud Security. Any tips or advice?

@@Jumss-i1o Focus on fundamentals. Microsoft Cybersecurity Analyst Professional Certificate covers necessary fundamentals and is a good place the start. Then of course you’ll have to do projects so you have something to show and talk about in the interview. Anyone doing cloud should be learning to do it securely from the jump anyway.

Hey good morning, I think you are on the right track, I dont have much IT experience myself but I commend you for self reflecting and knowing what does and what does NOT work for you regarding I.T. I had a similar experience in 2017 taking care of my son, thats how i got into I.T. Life lifes and we have to roll with the punches, highs and lows you know?

New to the channel and I think you've got the right attitude and head on your shoulders and you'll go far in whatever path you ultimately take. Love tech and the ability to pivot across different disciplines. Continue to pursue the technologies that interest you and keep setting new goals for yourself and you'll surpass where even you thought you could be. One step at a time, one day at a time and onward and upward!

I'm looking at the convergence of the two disciplines. The cloud provider owns the infrastructure but customers will always be responsible for securing their data and other capabilities that they put in the cloud.

I can't believe we're on the same journey! I completed Google's cybersecurity program, and now I'm pursuing a Microsoft cybersecurity. However, I've noticed that Azure has changed from Azure Active Directory to Entra ID, and Coursera hasn't updated the lab materials yet. I'm currently in module 4, but I'm having issues with the lab and the assignments. Because of this, I've decided to switch to AWS. I am really upset about it! I can't understand why the problem is still not resolved.

@@americanroyalsuccess chexk out John Savill on youtube and whizlabs labs and practice test. They are great resources. However, I would get both cloud certs. AWS is up next for me. Dont give up. Reach back if you have anymore questions about Azure. FYI when I read Azure I just program my mind to say Entra ID.
