thanks for this video i have m christian ortners book austro hungarian artillery 1868-1918 this gun is in there. austria hungary was a leader in heavy artillery design if i am not mistaken the austro hungarian army was the only army in europe that had speacialy designed generator tractor trucks to haul these weapons. some countries tried to use the trucks they had but nobody except austria hungary had these speacialy designed trucks. at least thats from the souces i read.Richard

I don't have my reference book to hand, but I believe one howitzer was installed on the old coastal defence ship SMS Monarch. This replaced the forward turret. The ship was intended to support the army.

The gun installed on sms budapest in 1918 was a 30,5 cm howitzer....
The ship proved to be to instable for acurate fire and therefore never used in combat.
Two of the skoda 30,5 cm was also planed to be used on danube monitors that where planed but never builed...
Sadly I'm traveling right now so i have no access to my libary for exact dates and project names but my sorces are the usual for the austro hungarian navy like freivogel and siche.

Just remembered that i have one book with me...
According to Erwin Sieche (Marine-Arsenal Band 14 Die schlachtschiffe der K. U. K. Marine) SMS Budapests forward twin 24 cm turret was replaced by a single 38 cm L/17 M.16 howitzer in may/june 1918 for a planed bombardment of Cortellazzo but removed in October the same year after trials where unsuccessfully.... theres a picture coming with it that clearly shows a single howitzer mounted in an completely open (no armor, no splinter protection, no weather protection, not even a spray protection on this, because of its low freeboard, notoriously wet ship) position
I have not gotten my references for the danube flotilla with me but im pretty sure that the howitzers pland for the planed momitors was the famous 30,5 cm one

They bombed Belgrade with Fat Bert. There is one in the museum, but of a smaller caliber. 320mm or 380m, I don't remember exactly

You are thinking of the 30,5 cm Mörser M.11. This one is on display at Kalemegdan fortress, along with an unexploded shell that fell on Belgrade.
