@@blastblast8301 he also had that cool "rocketbook anything frame" that's pretty creative!
And the beacons, as far as I have seen, just got em today, they don't have multiple destination icons and you can't send anything automatically, to but one place with beacons still.
If you can, as I just got these lil things today, please say otherwise!

    • @ruthkaufman
      @ruthkaufman 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@MichaelWilliams-gr3ys Also, I imagine the beacons are mostly designed for larger frames, not US Letter/A4 type areas. It seems easier to drop a pre-made 4-sided frame over a piece of paper than position 4 independent beacons at the corners. Do you agree? I'm just trying to imagine it.

This is such great tips! I took ur mini rocket window idea and did a spin on it. I cut the template page and taped it to the outside of a binder with slide in cover. Then my kids can slide in hand written sheets in the cover, and scan it. I covered the tokens, boarder, and QR code with clear shipping tape.

This was full of great ideas for making the rocketbook work for various needs! You inspired me to make a blown up version of the bottom section so that it is 8.5" long, printed on heavy card stock, cut and covered with packing tape, then adhered to a thick 9x12 black foam board with a hot glue gun so that office meeting notes in my rocketbook can be bundled with any supplemental printouts simply by placing those on top of the foam and scanning. This way the notes and support materials are all together in the same PDF!

Because of this video I am now looking at ways to incorporate this into our small warehouse. We still use a lot of paper forms and can't really justify investing in a whole new system, particularly because we are non-profit. I plan on creating my own template to use with laminated sheets so I can file forms digitally and then reuse the forms. Can't wait to try it out!

You are answer to prayer! I wanted several Rocketbooks, but I am disabled, and therefore bedridden most of the time. So I write alot, but am limited to pencils and space pens - - anything that can successfully write at any angle. The Rocketbook and other smart notebooks all use Frixion, which is not conducive to just any angle. In my optimism, I downloaded the app and set up all my little icons anyway, in the hope that I'd somehow make it work.
Your method just made my space pen fall in love with the Rocketbook app, and put me back into production again! Thank you and bless you!!

Outstanding! Your hacks are the best I've seen yet on TH-cam! You should start a blog and then include its URL in the description or the video.
Would you consider selling these hacks? I love the one that allows you to digitize already existing notebook pages or even documents (e.g. rental agreements, leases, etc). You have an outstanding real world example of: Necessity is the Mother of Invention! You had an educational necessity and you invented something so great many other professions could use it. I could see lawyers, architects, etc using your foam boards daily.
If you don't want to make and sell them, please, do a video on step by stop making them with specific items that make them up.

Wow, those are all such amazing hacks. You know, I'm curious if the black boarder with the images on the bottom are patented. It would be really cool to have the symbol and algorithm for image recognition, added as open source standards for image capture. Some interesting concepts can be done with that, like having symbols send the scanned image to the device that scanned it itself, or even tying the QR codes to server to create a new, image driven version of the internet. That'd almost be like a glorified version of the QR code with image parsing and hosting as added features.

I think that some of the ways this isn't being marketed but should be is to parents of young art creating kids.
This would be a way for parents to digitize, preserve, archive, and also display their kids art over the course of their lives.
You could set up an email address or a Google drive address or a Google photos account for each child or each member of the family. And use either the borders like these or the rocket book beacons that I think are like 15 bucks that are designed to do the same thing as these borders do, and save all of your kids artwork digitally so you don't feel quite as bad about throwing out 400 pieces of paper every 2 months.
you could also back them up to Google photos and have that photos file link to either stream on a family website, an artist's site that you create for your kids, as a digital photo frame for the household TV or family member and so much more.
I think we're only beginning to see the possibilities that exist with this technology and I wish I saw more of this in the mainstream.

Great video. I've questioned why you would need a Rocketbook at all, just take pics of a regular notebook and send them to the web. The hack using the Rocket book icons makes an actual rocketbook even more redundant. Yeah, I get it-- some people like the erasable aspect. But if you're on a budget, and you're more comfortable with conventional pen and paper, this is a great hack.

My mind has been blown!! Now that we are doing full distance learning in the class, I'm trying to see how I can utilize this with my 3rd graders. To have their work send to me automatically, would I have a shared drive for the classroom and have a folder for each student containing subfolders for assignments and subjects? I'm using Google Classroom with them so want to make it as easy as I can. I was also thinking about sending them laminated sheets so they can use as well. Again, I've literally just been introduced to this this morning and would love any thoughts or insights. This program is amazing!!

I like this. Toying with similar ideas, and this thumbnail kept coming up. After the 20th time, it finally registered, LoL! Brilliant hack. Better than beacons, imho. Best of luck to all our educators. And, please, be nice to the weird kid. You may never think you are reaching him/her, but you are. I was a candidate for special education in elementary school(early '70s), so they tested my IQ: It was 160!
