    Great video - just a small quip: Pilot pronounces it "friction". The name comes from the fact that its the heat generated by the friction of using the rubber end of the pen that causes the thermosensitive ink to turn transparent (at around 55 centigrade) and appear as 'erased'.

    I dunno...I use my iPad Pro and pencil all day long...I tried the Rocketbook but it’s superfluous. First it doesn’t sync to Notability (or Goodreads) - seems fine if you use Microsoft or Google products which most Mac users don’t. I just write directly in Notability and make whatever files I want and can add whatever PDFs or jogs or txt or handwritten notes I want. It should seem Rocketbook would help but it just adds more unnecessary steps. I dunno. I tried it I don’t get it’s usefulness at all.

    This helped a lot. I wasn’t sure which size to get. We would use these similarly for the planning side. I’m a writer, speaker and content creator, and federal lobbyist and constantly am making note either in my phone or watching colleague webinars, or making notes while tracking news or doing research. Your video made it so clear. I’m not sure I would use a permanent sharpie though ... I have to think about that. Year to year what I’m tracking shifts. If I start buying a lot of these, then I just have electronic versions of “desk chaos” ... hoping I can keep it to one and keep erasing.
    Rocket needs to add a camera feature. I don’t know about you. But for me, when I’m watching a webinar or in a course and speaker is going too fast sometimes it’s easier to take a photo of the PowerPoint slide. Then add notes around that.
    Meanwhile I bought a Lenovo Yoga 15.6” laptop, the type you can fold in half and use as a tablet or write on the screen. Thought I’d take that to courses. It’s too heavy and cumbersome to easily use that way.

    • @morningcoach
      @morningcoach  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So great thank you so much for the awesome comments and really love your thoughts. Yes if you want to use a permanent template then the sharpie is needed otherwise no need. Great call on the Lenovo Yoga laptop I have to try one of those.

    • @CrisisRescue
      @CrisisRescue 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MorningCoach Hi. Thank you for your reply. Re Lenovo Yoga. I DO NOT RECOMMEND it. The first one shipped had software issues. The second one replaced ( the replacement), is glitchy and other than COVID shit down, it should go back, too. Fingerprint reader rarely works. I added MS office but haven’t loaded it down at all. Bought extra RAM and it has largest latest and largest hard drive. Yet, often crashes. Customer Service from Lenovo is terrible. They do a lot of finger pointing to other departments. The digital pen was replaced under warranty, too. And they sold me the wrong battery extended so that went back. It was so bad I turned to Sony about what was equal in a VAIO. My VAIO lasted eight years. Then I had a Dell that lasted eight years. Lenovo was and is struggling to make it six months! If you do risk buying a Lenovo get the best insurance. You’ll probably need it. At least then you get a special call in line. Everyone else can get queued up for a very long wait. Not sure who is worse. Lenovo or Epson for customer support. (EPSON sells old printers as new. I got one that was replaced with one at least under a year old.) So my top picks for computer would be Vaio as it’s easier to do more but Dell cheap computer ( under $300) turned out to to be a great buy. This Lenovo with everything added was around $1800 including tax. Bells and whistles are fun but I would rather be able to reach a reliable company with great support.
      Hope this saves you spending money. On the other hand if they give you a free one to review - why not? ( printers - do well always with Canon. )

Generally high quality notebooks are costly and we cant hold them foreever where as using this device , we can write and backup anytime and any amount. Thats great and i hope this technology improves to provide a paper pen feeling which is very essential.

    The writing experience in the Rocketbook is so much worse than the Remaekable. They are not even comparable. It’s like writing on a white board. And it smudges. There are no features. Yea it is cheap but you can also write on paper and take a picture. The only added convenience of RB is the little shapes on the bottom that auto send. It’s to a specific spot.

    Hey Morning Coach, i found rocketbook when i was looking into review of remarkable and have gone through a lot of your video. I have a question/more like a request. Can you share some tips on notetaking in rocketbook. Currently other than "smartlilst" and "smart title" it is really hard to figure out how to use it properly. Additionally, using hte transcribe feature, ther ei sno resources to figure out how to bullet number them? Currently i am using one-note. May be you have figured out a way.

    Hi JB, I agree that you may have some good stuff to say about organizing purely base on two of your note device vids!! and I'll look into your book. My question about the Remarkable vs the Rocketbooks is this. If you, like me, don't even like fidgeting with stuff like a binder tie, how does that work to have to take a picture of each page?? Hearing that was a dealbreaker for me. Anyway, I am on the verge of buying one or the other. Also, can you just directly upload to your own physical drive space on the Remarkable or must you use only their proprietary cloud? How many discrete steps are required for the Rocketbook to put a page--or pages--into digital? Thanks for the tips on productivity!

    • @morningcoach
      @morningcoach  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Robert great questions brother. I am actually putting a video up I just ordered the Remarkable 2.
      I have actually started using the Remarkable for a LOT of things!!! I only use their proprietary system for uploading and downloading.
      The Rocketbook works it is not horrible, you will have limitations, but its worth a shot for the cost. Just please hit me up with connections.
