First, I live in the mountains of Alaska. I don't have a lot of options for help from some one else in any kind of a timely manner. When things go sideways, it's gonna be a while before anybody get's there, IF I can get a call out on the cell. There's almost always a danger of large critters out-n-about, bad guys, sudden drastic weather changes, etc. Ballcap, stocking cap, fur hat, (depending on the weather). Cargo pants (BDU style are preferred), cotton or wool (depending on the temp.) flannel shirt, Carhartt vest (and jacket or parka when it's colder). Shirt pockets: (R) Badge wallet (Retired Police Officer) with ID / DL, credit cards, and about $100.00 hidden away for emergencies (Retired Police Officer), (L) pen, notebook, business card wallet w/ business cards. Upper pants pockets: (R) Keys, lighter (no, I don't smoke so no cigarettes), Leatherman Micra, money clip w/ about $20.00 bucks, pocket change. (L) small, "Get Off Me" gun (.22 mag. deringer). Leather belt with a leather holster on my left hip for my .44 mag., and a leather 6 round loop loader on the right appendix, and a leather EDC pouch on my right hip with a Leatherman Wave, and a mini flashlight. (And, "Yes", I wear suspenders 😏) (L) cargo pocket: a folding wooden comb (I'm sportin' a full, gray beard. A man's gotta keep that thing tame!) and a SAK Rangergrip 8. (R) cargo pocket: Boo-boo kit. (L) inside vest pocket: cell phone, hand warmer pockets have a pair of gloves in them. I know it seems like a lot of stuff, but the weight is spread out evenly and virtually unnoticeable. And nowhere near the weight I carried everyday at work for 34 years!
My old lady always tells me my jackets and pants are too heavy.... because I've always got tons of stuff.... knives, multi tools, lighters, gloves, flashlight, ifak, change, on and on.
Edc, in the Canadian Pacific Northwest, leather belt with a Leatherman (model depends on what I am doing that day..) left front pocket contains a tac med SOF-TQ, lighter, rite in the rain edc pen and a COAST branded flashlight Right pocket contains my id, key ring and a crkt flipper
Those of us who have been able to retire are abundantly blessed. I pray for the younger generations as they have a long long row to hoe. I hope providence favors them.
Love your work brother. Semper Fi, my daily EDC is… Wallet, 2 pocket knives, a multi Tool (leather men) a pen flash light, sig P365, cell phone, air pods, spare magazine, and a garmin instinct watch.
SOG Terminus knife, razor sharp always, CRKT mini multi tool for the odd stuff and to open a beverage now and again. keys, wallet, Garmin watch oh, and yeah my Glock 48. Carpenter of roughly 45 years here. Started cleaning up job sites for my Dad at 12. Sit at a computer now keeping a bunch of fine carpenters busy. Best of luck Stoker! And btw, were at 2-1/2 feet of ice up here... But the ice fishing has been great!

I went from a px4-.40 to a 44spl 5shot, extra 5rounds in pocket with my buck folder on belt, I've had since 1972. and a small buck single blade in my pocket - and butt wipes!!
I worked in warehouses for over 20 years so I've gotten used to carry some type of box cutter and a Stilleto on weekends. A Kezkals multi tool pen. Handkerchief, a bottle opener on my key chain ever since my daughter discovered the Mexican Cokes. Also always have 20 dollars in 10 and 5's.
My EDC, is. PSA Micro dagger, two extra mags, steamlight, pen light, SOG power pint, Cold Luzon full size or the smaller one, depending on what I'm wearing. I also have a fanny with additional stuff in it, that I carry with me...sometimes. I leave it in the car most of the time. I'm a bad EDC'er.
For my EDC, I carry a little three blade Oldtimer, about 3" and an army knife like the old boy scout knife. These are always in my pocket, and if I have my wallet, I will also have a fresno lens. I'm a retired old fuck and don't really go many places. If I go out any distance, I will carry my S&W 9mm or my S&W 40cal. Thanks for the birthday video, brother. My stupid old ass made it to 72 this morning. I must have learned a few things over the years since I'm still above the grass after 22 years in the army and all the dumb shit i did when I was younger. Stay stoked, young man.

Leatherman super tool IMO is the greatest multi tool ever made. I've carried one everyday for 30 years as a lineman and combat engineer.
@Hellbender21 when I'm on the road, it's generally my charge TTI and when around the ranch it's my SURGE, when in the bush, it's the Leatherman signal
Moral to the story, customize your EDC to what you will actually carry in real life.
Gerber S30V knife, glock 30, wallet, keys and reading glasses...its hell getting old😅

P38 also makes a nifty screwdriver. Flat tip is obvious, but corner can sometimes fit the cross tip screws.
