Sorry for the late upload... Internet here sucks. We will not be recording a Vlog today, but we will be doing a livestream later. Be sure to follow me on Instagram @peter_rodopoulos to get updates on where we are and what we are doing throughout the day!
Nice Helicopter, a mini Bell 47 my favourite chopper as a kid my first flight was in a crop spraying Bell 47 doing a job on grandads farm nothing sounds better than a Bell 47.
My first helicopter ride was in a Bell 47 much like what you rode in. It was an awesome experience and the view was incredible! Glad you got to ride in the Safari helicopter.😁👍🏼
Peter, love the vlog's. I started my flying in much the same way as you. By 18 I was sitting right seat in a Convair 440, Capt in a DC3 a year after that. Can't fly anymore, but still watch everything I can find. Keep it up.
Hey, love the vlogs! Cover the event the way you want to. I like the idea of seeing the event through your eyes. I've wanted to get out there so many times but never made it. Perhaps I'll see you next year. Keep the videos coming.
hey thanks, this is about you and aviation, you eat, that's okay. Please live stream the airshow at 8. or the drones if they are going to do that tonight👍
I think there is a mistake regarding the service ceiling. 3,000 ft. ceiling makes no sense - are you sure you read the spec sheet correctly? The Safari web page lists the service ceiling as 10,000 ft.
If you ever get to KLNN I'll take you to a little diner it's only open during the beginning of the day. If you ever get to KLNN and want to fly I'll pay for fuel.
Nice, that guy explaining how the rotor blades tilt has no idea what he's talking about. If the advancing blade is on the left and you tilt the swash plate to the right, the rotor disc will tilt to the rear and the helicopter will fly backward. I hope he isn't the pilot as he doesn't know the basics of helicopter physics as required in pilot training. A helicopters rotor disc must follow the principle of Gyroscopic Precession that a gyroscope uses to balance. A force imparted to a rotating disc will manifest 90 degrees later in the rotation. The rest of his information was marginal at best. I found it amazing how, while basically correct, he was able to give as little information as to how it works as could possibly be presented in the same amount of time and words as would be necessary to give an exact explanation.
