@ wdym should have had? Unless the refs gave the ball to the other team in a dogpile then no they just didn’t execute correctly it worked at the prep school bc his kicker was elite at them hasn’t worked anywhere else though

That QB just stares down his receiver every single time.. can't believe he isn't picked off on every play. Actually he is picked off on most of them...
@@Saltlake27 NO, he's not. Coach is the first one to tell him "throw it where I tell you to throw it". Reading defenders requires moving your head. He doesn't. He locks in. I'm not saying the kid isn't a good HIGH SCHOOL QB, he just stares down his receivers.
No judgement, new squad and building a program. Went further then I thought from the beginning so chin up. Next year's team, you see a running back that straight up, get some ribs, properly. Do work boyz!
Coach Kelly would have a ball with one of my hs players from class of ‘27. #1 WR #1 player in the state #7 ranked nationally on 247. Oh yeah and he is an elite track athlete. Last year as a freshman won 60m indoor track second in 100m outdoor
@ I mean the strat works in high school obviously since he has a lot of state championships but it only works when you have a really good defense and since Sheridan doesn’t have that they do go screwed by the field position they give away every time
Putting the backup QB in to manage the game winning drive after 12 played good enough to win all day is yet another stupid coaching decision added to the list. And it cost them the game with that penalty lol.
Maybe just punt a couple times a game? Like when you have the lead and the game is on the line and you absolutely can’t let them score, just a thought…How bout we try that next season 🤷♂️
I’m sorry, but this coach is not it. Sure, maybe when he had top tier talent at all positions you could onside kick and go for it on 4th constantly, but with lesser teams you can’t. They’re constantly starting the opposing offense at the 50, he has his right handed QB rolling out to the left, etc. Imagine what this score could have been if they actually kicked off and punted the ball, allowing their defense some room to work with and making their offense drive 80 yards.
For being a supposedly analytics based coach doing an onside kick every kickoff doesn’t make sense. As the game gets closer to ending an unsuccessful onside kick can be even more costly. Also it seemed like his team hardly recovered onside kicks this year. He must need a certain percentage of onside kicks to be recovered to break even with giving the other team great field position a majority of the time. Not sure what that number is, but I doubt they met that quota.
Idk man. I think in a situation like this, rolling the dice is what gives you a chance. Keeps your defense fresh and puts their defense on the field a lot. I like his strategy, but he needs more time with the team to build it. I don’t agree with the late onside kick with the lead tho.
Imagine what would happen if you didn’t give the other team the ball at mid-field every time?? It’s a shame the boys have to suffer because of a coach’s ego - should’ve won that game. It’s been what, 10 years since his stupid gimmicks have worked?? He’s like a bad used car salesman.
You get a quarterback performance like that when you tell him to not move his feet, this coach sucks idc how many state championships he had the players carried him to those.
you think that a program just magically wins 8 state titles like Pulaski did? It all starts with the coaching lmao. Brayden Bratcher used what he coached, he went to Arkansas. Charlie Fiser used it, he went to SMU. Dax is just a lot less athletic lmao
