Not necessarily, I believe he's just acting out stockholm syndrome to increase his chance of living. He's probably already given up on escaping long before they even tried having a kid. People with stockholm syndrome will develop positive feelings for their captor and even other hostages, and negative towards the police. In the tapes, he was sarcastic with Ryoba and just went along with whatever she said, but without any enthusiasm or happiness

Okay theory time!! though Ryoba had to make sure Ayano's dad was 100% not getting away from her, I do think I have a reason why. Since it's been 3 decades, Ryoba completely trusts Ayano. I think that something was triggered inside him to get him to escape. This is why he went down to the basement to get the old tapes. For evidence! This is also shown when Ryoba says "Did you get nostalgic for the good old days?" He replies with " I suppose you could say that..." I don't think Ayano's dad got stockholm syndrome and he wasn't mind broken either, on the wiki, (and I think the yandere simulator characters page on the website) Ryoba felt bad that her father was mindbroken, so she didn't want to do the same. If you listen to the tapes of the journalist you can hear that he wants to escape somewhere else since ryoba caught him trying to gather evidence of her killing somebody. Ryoba also mentioned in the tape that the duration of their trip depends on how fast she takes „him“ down, so I’m pretty sure she is following the journalist and doesn’t trust her husband to not escape. Although if he recently said he brought this idea back up I'm not sure so I could be wrong. I just think that if she gets Ayano's mother and possibly Ayano herself arrested, it's still a betrayal and therefore it cannot be info chan's motive. I believe there may be something else to info chan, I just haven't thought what it could be yet. I'm fairly new to the yandere sim fandom and even the gameplay but I know enough lol

Funfact: If he sees Ayano trying to romance a female Senpai, he may have a positive reaction, as it would mean seeing the end of the Aishi bloodline, which wouldn't be a negative thing in his eyes. However, he may strongly discourage the homosexual relationship. His conservative values come from traditional Japanese society, where homosexual relationships are considered to be a social taboo by many. If Ayano was in a heterosexual relationship with a male Senpai, Jokichi would worry about the nature of the relationship, and how it began. Still, I love the fact that he loves his daughter
If Yandev, by some heavenly miracle from the gods, manages to complete the game, I hope we get to see the adult father. And holy damn, obsession really does run in the family
it makes me kinda sad that this game probably will never get finished, which means we wont be able to play the different endings. I really wanna do the pacifist route and see ayano actually get to know Senpai and win him over without killing anyone. It might also put the thought in the headmasters mind that Ayano isnt like her mother, and wouldn't actually kill anyone.

Some people here may more likely be "fantasizing" over the over-possessive love of Ryoba towards Jokichi, than actually romanticizing their relationship. This situation more or less serves as a catharsis. Not that I complain (cartharsis may be useful), but I also hope everyone here keep in mind that, as you say, all of this is fucked up and should definitely not happen in real life. As for Jokichi, he might not have Stockholm syndrome, since he has manifestly remained as aware as wary about his wife's excentric and unhealthy temperament, to the point that he implictly hopes that his own daughter Ayano will not end as Ryoba.
I really hope Ayano doesn’t take the path her bloodline has done (brainwashing, mindbreaking, kidnapping, r*ping). Ayano’s dad truly cares about her and doesn’t want her to follow her mothers footsteps which I hope Ayano recognizes. Killing the rivals especially Osana and his sister will lead to Taro’s mental health going down severely. I hope Ayano eliminates her rivals in a non violent way like matchmaking. Which makes Senpai insecure and believe he’ll never be loved by a woman which is a perfect chance for Ayano to confess. Hopefully Ayano can be the moral Aishi and prove to next generations that you can win love without murder. I hope Ayano can make her father happy as well that her future boyfriend and her are in a healthy relationship.
I feel like there will be an ending where if Ayano kills all the rivals, Taro's mental health will have degraded to the point when Ayano confesses, he'll end up rejecting her out of fear for her safety, then she ends up admitting to killing all those girls, and is killed by Taro who's been plauged with guilt this whole time and wants to avenge her victims

i have my own theory on how yan-chan’s dad ended up so peaceful with ryoba (yan-chan’s mom).i think she broke him down enough mentally to the point when she could influence his opinions and thoughts to make him fall in love with her therefore justifying her actions to be with him in his mind. so he knows what she did but in his mind it makes sense why she did it.

@@emiliolescure6410 The theory is because in the mysterious tapes he says "She even bought her own computer" signaling that his daughter got a computer, but how did she get it in the first place (Info Chan getting undie shots, blackmail things and she can get money from doing so and got enough money to get a computer) Another reason is because "She comes home with blood on her uniform" might be a reason because Info chan could've gave Ayano her uniform instead
Another reason is Info Chan is trying to get Ayano's trust, and maybe soon to find out more information about Ayano's mother to arrest her. Info Chan also has the ability to get Ayano arrested because of the information, like Ayano can be buying poison from her and show it as proof, and from there Info Chan can threaten Ayano’s mom to arrest her daughter aka Info Chan can blackmail her
Info Chan could've gave the student council information that Ayano is the daughter of whatever Ayano's mom name is, and feeding them information about Ayano, mostly to Megami and from that information, her father made her avoid Ayano and not let her attend school soon, Info Chan also could've gave Megami information that she (Ayano) is exactly like Ayano's mom, aka a murderer and makes Megami suspicious and tells the rest of the Student Council to be cautious around her

@@m1c4ela14 I agree and this theory makes sense and is 100% correct except for one thing.. The dev said he was originally planning on info chan betraying Ayano in the end, but gave up on this idea. Although if he recently said he brought this idea back up I'm not sure so I could be wrong. I just think that if she gets Ayano's mother and possibly Ayano herself arrested, it's still a betrayal and therefore it cannot be info chan's motive. I believe there may be something else to info chan, I just haven't thought what it could be yet. I'm fairly new to the yandere sim fandom and even the gameplay but I know enough lol

Some people here may more likely be "fantasizing" over the over-possessive love of Ryoba towards Jokichi, than actually romanticizing their relationship. This situation more or less serves as a catharsis. Not that I complain (cartharsis may be useful), but I also hope everyone here keep in mind that, as you say, all of this is fucked up and should definitely not happen in real life.
As for Jokichi, he might not have Stockholm syndrome, since he has manifestly remained as aware as wary about his wife's excentric and unhealthy temperament, to the point that he implictly hopes that his own daughter Ayano will not end as Ryoba.

I really hope Ayano doesn’t take the path her bloodline has done (brainwashing, mindbreaking, kidnapping, r*ping). Ayano’s dad truly cares about her and doesn’t want her to follow her mothers footsteps which I hope Ayano recognizes. Killing the rivals especially Osana and his sister will lead to Taro’s mental health going down severely. I hope Ayano eliminates her rivals in a non violent way like matchmaking. Which makes Senpai insecure and believe he’ll never be loved by a woman which is a perfect chance for Ayano to confess. Hopefully Ayano can be the moral Aishi and prove to next generations that you can win love without murder. I hope Ayano can make her father happy as well that her future boyfriend and her are in a healthy relationship.

i have my own theory on how yan-chan’s dad ended up so peaceful with ryoba (yan-chan’s mom).i think she broke him down enough mentally to the point when she could influence his opinions and thoughts to make him fall in love with her therefore justifying her actions to be with him in his mind. so he knows what she did but in his mind it makes sense why she did it.

As much as I feel bad for Jokishi (that his name?) I still blame him for Ayano's upbringing. Ik Ryoba always seems to trigger Ayano wanting to get her "someone special" but Jokisihi wanting Ayano to be a "normal child" so badly could also be something triggering her wanting to feel normal, and I blame and Ryoba for it
