Love these videos, I’m learning more. I put a pattern on paper with your heart template for my 7 year old granddaughter and I told her now you can drive :). She was getting more confident in the end and her coordination for turning the fabric was much better.
I have wanted to quilt as you go. I never could understand how to quilt it. You have made me understand the quilting process. Thank you so much for the videos. Looking forward to more videos. You are a great teacher.
Hi Pamela, I'm SO glad you are finding our videos so useful. You are going to have such an incredible time now that you have the knowledge to do your own quilting! We would love to hear how you go and if you ever have any questions, please feel free to email us at hello@pqw.com.au
I have tried many times to Free Motion quilt on my Bernina. I never did learn how to do it well; and, the damage done to my Bernina was done by the quilting frame (sold to me by the owner of the same shop that sold me my Bernina. I always get very tense while Free Motion Quilting. What you are teaching here looks more relaxing (like tracing the picture (already drawn) with a dark crayon when I was a child).
I can’t wait to try your non pressure quilting, it makes sense. Thanks! Are there increments on the pressure foot pressure or is it on and off? I remember hearing that my vintage 930 Bernina automatically adjusts, but I think I can still release it.
Every machine is different when it comes to releasing pressure off the foot - some have a large range of increments, some have only a few and some don't have the ability to release the pressure at all! So my best suggestion for your machine would be to refer to your instruction manual (if you still have it) or contact Bernina directly so they can assist you 😊

That is wonderful Kay!! And so heart-warming to hear that it has become a family activity for you😍
I love using my knee lifter when sewing curves. Makes it so efficient to lift and lower the foot!
Exactly Stephie, I like your thinking!

Oh no that is so disappointing to hear! Yes good relaxed posture is the way to go - best of luck with relaxing while you quilt now 😊
