I am disabled and, unlike Larry, it's not a disability ambulatory aids help. I have heart failure and can't stand up amd move around enough to cook. I miss cooking alot and prepared food is getting really low quality No matter where you buy.
Ive had this one and frankly if you added some corn it would look like the aftermath of food poisoning at a bad chinese buffet. It already tastes like it.
I have cooked this exact meal too and I don’t cook it as long and I actually pick the broccoli out cook the meat and sauce then throw the broccoli in last only for a couple min. But I also cooked it for some other person not myself

Larry, they do grade veg. My pop worked for the most prolific frozen veg company in the us. They have several grades. There are great quality cuts and then there are the institutional cuts. you should try some Hungry Man dinners. I have been eating them along, and they are tasty. It is not like real turkey and dressing meal, but in a pinch of home on a lonely night when you need some comfort food, it is satisfying enough to get you through the night.
I could get more than a decent lunch special at my local Chinese food joint. You could get enough food for two people for much, though I'm a sucker for their special friend rice but they add a shit ton of meat. It's amazing... *starts to drool*

I recommend the InnovasiAsian cusine meals. I have one in my freezer right now. Yeah, its not as good as actual fresh Chinese food and you have to supply the rice (jasmine rice FTW) But IMO it's the best cheap and easy Chinese food at home. I'd say its even better than PF Changs or Panda express because I have not been impressed with either of those restaurants. peas and carrots in your fried rice? seriously? If that doesn't scream Americanized i don't know what does.
i love beef and broccoli, my fave chinese dish, for $6 at the local chinese take out, i get 2 days worth of food, massive beef fried rice included. everything stands up to 1-2 microwavings, just add fresh soy sauce. i had an interview across the street from a P.F.Changs 2 days ago and had no desire of dropping in. i think freezing does broccoli in. i'll stick with my local "chinese kitchen".

Kind of sad when a local Chinese food place near me has a beef with broccoli chef's combination platter for $6.95. You get the beef which is quite good, steamed broccoli that is obviously not cooked with the beef (it is placed on top of the beef tho, not mixed in with the sauce), pork fried rice, an egg roll, and fortune cookie. I guess its such a good deal because it doesn't have the P.F. Chang's name on it.

The water retained from the frozen brocolli will seperate the sauce. They use copius amounts of sesame oil to compensate HOWEVER oil and water split during freezing. When reheated WITH BROCCOLI the water NEVER EVER BURNS OFF

So, I ate at a P.F Changs once, and the food was ok...not amazing, but pretty good...so the other day I saw this exact meal meal at my grocery store, and was sold on the idea that "hey, I had a pretty good experience at this restaurant, so surely this is pretty good". Luckily, I decided to go mexican cuisine that night, so put this meal on the back burner for a future meal. After watching this, I am glad I did...this looks absolutely disgusting. Lesson learned that just because frozen food is branded and marketed after a national chain has no correlation that it will taste anything like what you would get at the restaurant.

That listed alcohol would worry me whether it's, sorbitol to sweeten the meal. And we know by now that's a laxative. With so much sesame oil if you cook it a little too hot it can get scorched and taste terrible.
Their quality of ingredients (beef) has plummeted from an 7, 10 being the best to a 3-4. It's super soft yet rubbery and at times it has a weird crunch. It doesn't even look the same. Looks more like something one would get at a food court at the mall instead of a $17 a plate restaurant. I've only had the frozen orange chicken that is 100% ginger in flavor. It's overwhelming and hard to forget.
Thanks for showing me. I have eyed this one a few times, but thankfully passed on this. Think I will just spend the cash, and make my own, for better flavor, and leftovers.
Beef with Broccoli is my favorite Chinese-American too. I've only been making it at home for a year and some change - once oyster sauce started appearing in grocery stores where I could find it the gloves were off. And yeah, for that price I can go to an all you can eat buffet and get myself three plates of beef and broccoli, a plate of appetizers, several bowls of egg drop soup, and a little dessert! Or at least I could when my state didn't shut down all dine-in restaurant eating.

InnovAsian meals are usually pretty good I usually do them in the microwave as per the microwave directions sometimes I might add maybe a minute more but usually they come out pretty good. I like the beef and broccoli and the Mongolian beef (but I always add some crushed red pepper flakes while i am cooking it). And the chicken ones are in my opinion really good for what you get, The General Tso's and Kung Pao I like a lot, but I do the crushed red pepper with them too just because I like them a bit more spicy. and sometimes I even add veggies and water chestnuts. And the price is like $5.38 for the two serving size. Usually enough for me with or without rice. The Chicken Fried Rice one isn't to bad either.
I actually like PF Chang's frozen meals. I make jasmine, brown or white rice or homemade fried rice and serve the entree on top of the rice. I also ignore the instructions and cook it until properly done, not boiled and overcooked. It's actually quite tasty that way.

I had had got those frozen meals in a bag when they went on close out sale for like $1.50 a bag. I remember the terrible taste of the fajita meal. But I was hungry and was only $1.50. The pf change actually might be better than the others, I don't remember. They probably use meat glue and the meat that gets bought back from the grocery store after no one buys it and taken off the shelf.
I don't like broccoli so wouldn't buy this one, but their sweet & sour chicken is really good. I am sure these used to have nearly twice as much food in them. It used to fill my saucepan and now it's not even half the pan. It's enough for one serving only. Pricey! I try to get it (the sweet & sour chicken) on sale for a special treat.
I hope to see you review the Innovasion Frozen Chinese food products. They're wildly unhealthy but pretty darn good especially the General Tso's chicken. Anyway, keep up the good work love the videos! Thank you for continuing to try this stuff so we don't have to!
PF Chang's is only good if you get it fresh from the restaurant. The frozen ones fuckin suck and the beef and chicken is always nasty. Plus they cost like $9 at Walmart it's a rip off.
I don't like it too mushy either. I try to use the whole broccoli to save money. If you slice the stem really thin and add it to a stir fry it's pretty nice.

Beef with Broccoli is my favorite Chinese-American too. I've only been making it at home for a year and some change - once oyster sauce started appearing in grocery stores where I could find it the gloves were off.
And yeah, for that price I can go to an all you can eat buffet and get myself three plates of beef and broccoli, a plate of appetizers, several bowls of egg drop soup, and a little dessert! Or at least I could when my state didn't shut down all dine-in restaurant eating.
I'm glad you're buying this stuff, Larry. Lol. Someone has to. I'll order out on special occasions from our Chinese restaurant. I should look up the recipe.
InnovAsian meals are usually pretty good I usually do them in the microwave as per the microwave directions sometimes I might add maybe a minute more but usually they come out pretty good. I like the beef and broccoli and the Mongolian beef (but I always add some crushed red pepper flakes while i am cooking it). And the chicken ones are in my opinion really good for what you get, The General Tso's and Kung Pao I like a lot, but I do the crushed red pepper with them too just because I like them a bit more spicy. and sometimes I even add veggies and water chestnuts. And the price is like $5.38 for the two serving size. Usually enough for me with or without rice. The Chicken Fried Rice one isn't to bad either.
This was recalled a while back for metal in the sauce, stopped buying after that.
I actually like PF Chang's frozen meals. I make jasmine, brown or white rice or homemade fried rice and serve the entree on top of the rice. I also ignore the instructions and cook it until properly done, not boiled and overcooked. It's actually quite tasty that way.
I made the worst mistake of buying this but with chicken instead. Wanted to vomit, I am ashamed I’m subscribed but never watched this video before :-// it could’ve saved me lol

I had had got those frozen meals in a bag when they went on close out sale for like $1.50 a bag. I remember the terrible taste of the fajita meal. But I was hungry and was only $1.50. The pf change actually might be better than the others, I don't remember.
They probably use meat glue and the meat that gets bought back from the grocery store after no one buys it and taken off the shelf.
I don't like broccoli so wouldn't buy this one, but their sweet & sour chicken is really good. I am sure these used to have nearly twice as much food in them. It used to fill my saucepan and now it's not even half the pan. It's enough for one serving only. Pricey! I try to get it (the sweet & sour chicken) on sale for a special treat.
I hope to see you review the Innovasion Frozen Chinese food products. They're wildly unhealthy but pretty darn good especially the General Tso's chicken. Anyway, keep up the good work love the videos! Thank you for continuing to try this stuff so we don't have to!

PF Chang's is only good if you get it fresh from the restaurant. The frozen ones fuckin suck and the beef and chicken is always nasty. Plus they cost like $9 at Walmart it's a rip off.
I remember a couple years ago seeing these meals at Giant with a 1/2 price markdown and bought some on a whim, what a waste of 4ish dollars!
Frozen stir fry veggies and frozen stir fry "meals", ah, no, fresh meats and veggies, only, no soggy soupy mess....
I remember having these. For me, the worst part is when I get a piece of meat that is 95% fat and complete mush.
I don't like it too mushy either. I try to use the whole broccoli to save money. If you slice the stem really thin and add it to a stir fry it's pretty nice.
And this is why frozen broccoli is a bad idea. That looks horrible and you're a brave man for choking it down.
