Loved this so much I had to try it. I had made a dresser for my guest room and thought this would be a perfect addition to the top and it was. The only thing I added was a 1.5mm piece of wood to the whole back. I tried to get the mirror to work on the masking tape, and it was very difficult for me to get it to stay together. So, I cut the board to fit the entire frame and mirror, and discovered the mirror had adhesive on the back that helped adhere to the base board. It solved the problem completely. Thanks for another awesome piece. I can't wait to get your books....

I adore this one, Julie; I had a dressing table mirror just like this when I was younger & I loved it, it was so pretty! I had it plonked atop a chest of drawers made from 1980's scary orange pine - not so pretty LOL. Thanks for another great vid :)
Ha, yes, that old 80's furniture was a bit scary! We had a huge cabinet in our living room, that had a 'pull-down' drinks cabinet! I'm glad you like the mirror tutorial. :)

I can not find obeche in the US, so I am going to purchase basswood, as you suggested. Could you possibly make some suggestions for the sizes that might be best as a start? I know that there may be some variance, but would truly be thrilled for the help, as, possibly, may be some other viewers who may be ready to dive in and would like to purchase the most-used sizes and profiles as well. I would recommend starting with 1/16 inch thick sheet wood, perhaps a couple of sheets (here they are sold in 18 inch long sheets as standard) and a sheet of 3/32 inch. And then a few strips of the 13/64 x 13/64 and 1/8 x 1/8, which I use for legs. I hope that helps.

just a small point, I think the correct pronunciation is Obeeshee, ? I was in the cabinet trade and we used tons of it.
