Can you do a video on how to actually manifest what you want then please. Because I’ve watched several interviews and videos where you say basically imagine you already have that thing so much that when you come out of the meditation you have to remind your self your just sat on your room. It’s very conflicting and two opposite practices to achieve what you want. Could you do a video where you speak holistically please ❤

Teal Swan's critique of "toxic positivity" raises an intriguing psychological issue, but let us approach it with a dose of rational skepticism. While the term "toxic positivity" may sound trendy, its premise requires more rigorous analysis. There is no evolutionary advantage in denying reality, which our brains are exquisitely tuned to detect and respond to, but this doesn’t mean positivity itself is harmful.
Humans, as evolved beings, are capable of complex emotional processing, and one might argue that positivity, in reasonable doses, serves an adaptive function-helping us to persist in the face of adversity. Labeling it as "toxic" without considering its nuanced role in mental resilience is misleading. In fact, from an evolutionary perspective, optimism bias can enhance survival by encouraging action rather than paralyzing us with fear or negativity.
We should, of course, be mindful of genuine human suffering and avoid superficial platitudes, but to frame this as inherently harmful is to miss the balance required in life’s emotional repertoire. Instead of peddling a dichotomy between toxic positivity and emotional authenticity, we ought to celebrate the flexibility of the human brain in navigating the complexity of both positive and negative experiences. Only then can we pursue growth grounded in rational inquiry, rather than mysticism disguised as psychological insight.

After hearing “just be grateful!” from a good friend during 3 years of dark night of the soul and ego death, I realized this motto she’d tell herself for 40 years was not serving me and not her. Every time a little thing becomes contrary to her “peace”, she explodes in vicious rages and words. Whether at the barista, dinner guests or friends, her viciousness has led me to removing myself. She refuses to acknowledge any negative in life, refuses to undergo therapy or any self-work yet says she wants to gain control over her anger. Those years in darkness were the hardest I have ever lived - and I haven’t had an easy life - but I’m deeply grateful for being thrown in that process and finding some awakening and illumination at the end.

I'm almost 70. My most profound lesson I've learned is that walking away from an ongoing bad situation is the most loving thing we can do for ourselves. I hung onto a 30 year "friendship" that sounds a lot like what you're describing. Then I heard someone say, *"Don't let the history keep you in misery."* I went no contact and felt like I used my GET OUT OF JAIL card afterwards.

One of the most glaring examples of this is "body positivity."
Instead of owning, feeling and exploring our negativity, it has become trendy to just mask it with positivity. Just another new coping mechanism to deny and suppress our discomforts.
Not to confused with self-love, which is none of the above. Ironically, self-love is actually incompatible with body positivity.

Practicing “staying positive” (done right) isn’t about putting a sticker over the oil pressure warning light. It’s about dealing with it in the attitude of, “I can fix this. I am capable.” Rather than freaking out and screaming “Oh my gawd, this is horrible, we’re all gonna die!” Positivity is about looking towards the best outcome in a bad situation. Not ignoring or denying the bad situation.

I’ve been working with “isn’t it wonderful” type affirmations for almost 10 months now. Until recently (when spirit sat me down and started asking me and helping me “get real”) I struggled and saw little progress in the direction I wanted to go. And any progress I did see always felt fleeting. But ever since I started taking the time and effort to get real with the affirmations I write, things have been going much smoother. TIP: I write the affirmations as if I want to take on a certain quality or learn to become adept at a new skill, like navigating through situations of negativity and fear without feeling so deeply snared and torn up during and after. Or feeling genuine love for myself and for others.

  • @EricCoplen

Another way to look at the so-called toxic positivity is people are trying to un-manifest what they dont want to accept has already manifested. They don't know to face squarely what is and find acceptance which then liberates the resistance while simultaneously helping making conscious certain aspects of yourself that need healing...which if you heal makes you a more powerful conscious manifestor. Shadow work.

In truth, for many people, life has become so emotionally hard to deal with, that they have turned to all kinds of coping mechanisms to deal with it. synchronicity. I was writing about this today. If you imagine a continuum from bad to to good, or negative to positive, but cut off half the line, then you essentially have decreased your ability to tolerate anything, because what was once 'neutral' is now your bad. No matter how much good you experience, there is limit to anyone's ability to go infinitely good in this incarnation. the song 'accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative' is catchy, but the the more you suppress shadow, the more shadow you get. sublimation and integration of a greater whole is necessary for balance and health.

00:00 🌧️ Toxic positivity is increasingly common as people cope with emotional challenges.
01:18 💡 Positive thinking can be beneficial, but excessive positivity has a dark side.
03:37 🌀 Toxic positivity is used to deny negative emotions, creating willful denial of reality.
05:14 📉 It distorts reality by oversimplifying personal vibration and neglecting deeper issues.
06:50 🔍 Acknowledging both positive and negative experiences is crucial for personal growth.
08:12 🔒 Toxic positivity can destroy relationships by invalidating others' feelings.
09:58 ⛔ It leads to denial and suppresses the acknowledgment of truth, worsening situations.
12:15 🚫 It induces guilt for feeling negative, pressuring individuals to remain positive.
14:22 🔄 It escalates negativity in others, creating a cycle of pain and avoidance.
15:40 🌱 True personal growth requires facing and exploring negative emotions.
16:50 🕳️ Toxic positivity contributes to emotional ignorance and gaslighting of negative experiences.
18:03 🏊‍♂️ Healthy positivity involves embracing reality, including the negative aspects of life.
19:48 🧠 Pain should be viewed as valuable feedback rather than a threat to well-being.
20:25 🌈 The mantra of "good vibes only" is a societal issue that needs addressing for genuine change.

If a person is stuck in traumas and conditioned beliefs it is not at all that simple. All you can do is to make a desicion to slowly and determined work your way out of whatever you are stuck in. And I still say, if I’m feeling miserable I take my miserableness with me everywhere I go. Until I don’t feel that miserable feeling.
When I am feeling lighter and happier I lead with that.
Some people have not had much trauma and certainly not severe trauma and they do feel more positive and happier more of the time.

I can feel when a person is just throwing positivity minus heartfelt empathy at me when I am facing something. It doesn't make me feel good, but makes me feel shamed for being real and expressing myself. It makes me feel less than or weak rather than helped. Their response didn't help me get through my situation.

I have been guilty of living through positive reality denial, and it has hurt me so much I chose to not see what I did not want to see and I cannot deny that because it hurt me so much. I am now in parent alienation because of it. I am learning how to handle the rest of my life, telling people dealing with people and truth. But I realize that I did positive positive denial to keep myself alive. I don’t know how to change myself except for saying no I am learning how to do that. It’s still pretty hard for me, I consider myself a positive ninja, which I am I give more love than I do anything else, but I am learning how to stand up and say what I really think every day

oh, for some of these things im glad i fell into the void and accepted some realities of myself, and at was mainly there already but my philosophy became accepting the fact that life is going to hurt, things will suck, i will die, and when i die my consciousness will enter the same state it was in before I was born. non-existent. it's not miserable either because of the events of life and my absolute morbid gallows humor. i look forward to the collapse and am happy i never made kids because that work they are getting is "you poor child".

it takes a lot of energy..
and when you don't deal with your negativity, it will show up in the ones, you have a strong connection to..
and their negativity aswell will not be seen and they have to turn crazy negative to be seen..
they start feeling, like feeling negative things, means, they did something wrong.
    - pain is never a threat itself - it's a feedback💗

I have been doing this all my life. Now I know what to look for. It is a relief as I could feel in those moments my response being a bit off yet not really sure what was causing the separation. I can see others reeling back as if the positive response negates their experience. I’ve always “looked on the bright side” too. It feels quite freeing somehow and I am looking forward to catching myself (🙏🏻🤞) before I do this to someone again. Thanks heaps for the clarity 🥰xx

This is 100% my boss. She ignored my team all year when we told her we did not have enough time or resources to complete a project by the deadline. Guess what, deadline has come and gone and we are still not done the project. And this affects our customers, who are schools in poverty. It’s been very upsetting for me personally. I will use this video for how to talk to her about this, if I ever get the chance to. Thank you, Teal.

I understand people tend to have very negative attitudes and tend to respond with negativity if they don’t understand how to communicate with a negative situation, or expect others to communicate with their expectations or feelings…
    As for myself:
To my fortunate, I have studied a bit of psychology and learned how to read people… and their reactions or negativity: But in the end, I have learned to have a positive outlook and attitude despite the negative attitude of others… like having a light in a dark place.
But then what causes negativity in the world, are the negative thoughts, opinions, and feelings that emulate from people who have not found “proper” enlightenment.

I only halfway agree with Teal Swan, because Teal is right that it is utterly impossible to solve your problems without taking any action. However, I disagree that you have to feel negative in order to take action inorder to solve your problems, unless someone makes you angry or if something tragic happens to you of course.

No you dont have to feel negative emotion in order to change something or take action. People often take action based on positive emotion. Like they love dancing so they sign up for a dance class or they see a negative outcome and chage direction. But this is not about that. Those people are in reality. The point it people are soooo resistant to negative emotion that they deny they feel it. They run away. They smoke. They pretent its all good. They tell themselfs the daughter is just going through a weird phase instead of facing the relationship issues with their adult child. So the relationship becomes more distant and breaks in the end. Maybe watch the video again ;)

Thank you Teal the time about witnessing that dog in distress or had been in distress 😣 at the water fall ? and how you felt about it and the incongruent gap with those others in the vicinity and inappropriate toxic positivity is still with me. 🙏 It was really moving touching raw and real and so on point. Like a clear magnifying glass that highlighted the actual or attempt of "phaned" positivity. Something profound was not being "honoured" somehow. I can't explain it but🙏I kinda know how you felt in that sad situation with the dog beside the river and remember that life's lesson and wisdom in your sharing it. 🙏

All experiences are for our own benefit that can act as catalysts that lead to growth and learning of our consciousness. Part of the reason we're here is to experience the contrast of what we are not to accentuate what we are in essence. Fully embrace and absorb all emotional energy for what it is and then release that energy back to the universe. Love and light to you, Teal!

    • @summerchild5036
      @summerchild5036 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Do you think it's possible to bypass fully experiencing emotion by recognizing the contrast for what it is right away withiut getting involved in it??

    • @justin_411
      @justin_411 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@summerchild5036 I suppose anything is possible, but it seems more likely that it would have a greater impact to identify imbalances and distortions that are within your own vibratory complex if it were actually experienced first hand at deeper levels.
According to Q'uo, higher realm social memory complexes that were channeled, states the following: "Whereas intellectual thoughts have light energy, shall we say, it may be said that emotions have heart energy; and because of this, the emotions contain more profound information than any wisdom which the brain can encompass and speak concerning. For emotions move in waters too deep to contain words, and it is at this depth that the changes that you desired to make prior to this incarnation may be affected. Thusly, even though it seems as though reflecting upon one’s emotions is the work of analysis and intellect, indeed it is actually exercising that muscle of faith and allowing that opening between conscious and subconscious mind to be kept open while you do what you can to open the self to a wider and deeper grasp of the situation in which the emotions were concerned."

Been saying this for decades. I saw the disconnect between what was being espoused by proponents and what I was seeing in reality. Note that the Secret came out in 2007, the GFC was in 2008. When positive delusion reaches such a point the universe, and thus us, finds a way to balance out the equation. Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds.
