Feras Qartoumy dropped the inside scoop on his channel of the exact mechanical issues he faced from the night before the event until the very last session - highly recommend! 🍿
I had the opportunity to attend this event and man it was amazing! Truly remarkable machines and hopefully I’ll have the ability of running on year! Great coverage guys!
First, how have I not seen this channel before? Second, how is there only 5k subs? I was literally here for a minute before I hit the sub button. Great video just great!
@@CarPlusTuner I was excited when I saw all the amazing cars but... @@CarPlusTuner And btw, the music... the whole time. Seriously? Unless the video is about Tesla, please don't use music in car videos, ever. Whenever professional video makers make car videos, they always ruin it with music. How come a bunch of young youtuber boys understand that car enthusiasts want only hear engines, but professionals never learn this? It's been more than a half century of TV programs about cars and professionals keep repeating the same mistake, over and over and over. NO MUSIC in CAR VIDEOS!
Wing, splitter, stock power c7z running 2:16 got no love haha. I do love seeing this high quality content for time attack thought!! Hope to make it next year with prepared car.
@@CarPlusTuner TH-cam recommended me this video, so then i was taking a look at your video list and saw those. I'm an endurance racing fan, I've watched a few of those Japanese time attack videos but never got into understanding the whole sport. Now I'll learn more here, cheers! 🥂🥂
I kno this is real but my brain is seeing Forza Motorsports gameplay when the footage of the cars is shown. Thinks it’s the combination of the camera angles and the looks of the cars. 🤪
So why don't you call McLaren 720 gt3 '' unlimited'' as the new record holder? Achieving more than 1 second faster lap time at the very first session having just the half power of that corvette tells me that the performance of those top time attack cars (at unlimited class) has a lot to improve.
Like the LMP race cars, the McLaren 720s GT3X was never a road-going based car with a VIN# so it doesn't qualify as a Time Attack car. That Pro/Comp class can be incredible when that kind of machinery come out to play and make for an interesting comparison to the Time Attack modified cars in Unlimited class. It wasn't highlighted here, but Feras in the Corvette was only running on 6 cylinders pretty much the whole event so he never was able to turn it up to 1300hp and have a good chance at the sub-2 time he was after. Cole in the GTR could've also gotten much closer to that time with some better luck. That being said, power isn't everything and McLaren engineers sorted out that GT3X very well with the Rafa Racing team bringing a pro driver to do it justice. Check for the "Global Time Attack Explained" video or "Time Attack Explained" to get some more insight on Time Attack and the Pro/Comp class confusion👍
@@timeattacknews thanks for the answer and I won't argue about that Vin number, but food for thought is to also check Porsche RP968 a record holder at WORLD TIME ATTACK event, although it is a VIN number based car it is almost nothing from preventing it to be called a prototype car
@@stealth1379 That RP968 still is forced to retain some of the original chassis like the front strut towers and so on (although WTAC lets pro class chop the back of the car off) and while it is very wild and arguably in prototype territory, it still took a ton of work by an individual shop or team to produce while working around limitations out of a Time Attack rule book. That being said, some of the top Time Attack cars in the world have gotten so extreme that it's a bit silly when looking at the big picture. Still it's fun to watch what these mad scientist have cooked up while retaining some of the spirit of the sport, and some competitive teams like the Japanese Escort EVO still have much of the original chassis intact. With WTAC now also running racing slick tires for the first time this upcoming event, it'll be interesting to see where the sport goes.
@@timeattacknews although those non Vin number prototype cars do not have any obligations to have any stock car chassis part they do have limitations from racing rules of their category that they participate, unlike pro category time attack (like RP968) that actually can do almost anything they want. In both cases pro time attack vs prototypes they both have advantages and disadvantages, but in my opinion pro time attack cars have less restrictions than prototype cars that compete in races (race restrictions).
Whats the point of Cota time attack, purpose built race car like lmp3/gt3 arwnt suppose to compete in that... Once again Amurican not minding their buisness, what are they gonna do next race a indy/formula car

I almost clicked off because I thought it was sim
The cars are so outrageous looking, half of the scenes in this video look like heavily modded GTA.
👍👍
I think Rob Dahm needs to get in on this..
That would be amazing. American Time Attack could use some more rotaries in the mix!
What video game is this? 1/2 of it looks almost real!
Extreme tuna culture
They should have used a new're Corvette and would have won the laps!

Feke Ehnd Ghey.
did feras run the lap record when his car was still making 800 in whp? if so, i could only imagine what he would do with his 1300 whp setup.
