If this happened in the S.E. Detroit area of Michigan, the public electric company called DTE, would raise this family's monthly electric bill by 434 %. DTE is very well known for constantly raising every DTE customers electric bills, but provides very shitty electric service.
If a bird perches itself on an DTE electric wire, the whole area loses power for 2 months. That's because DTE hires really dumb line workers who don't know how to plug in a toaster or microwave.
The public electric company in India, or in war torn country Ukraine could repair electric power failures much quicker than the DTE morons riding around in DTE company trucks from doughnut 🍩 shop to another when the linemen should be trying to restore electric power to neighborhoods without lights and power for weeks and weeks. Just think if the S.E. Michigan area was in hurricane 🌀 area. It would take DTE repairmen and repairwomen 2 years to restore power to DTE customers. DTE SUCKS, and that's being polite.
