- Hello! I'm Tina, I run 'Made with April' with my dog, April! Thank you for watching my video and coming with me on a double-market weekend! The first market I attended was the Inglewood Night Market, and the second was the CutiesClub.ca Market! Both are located in Calgary AB!
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all your support on my videos lately - I have uploaded some items to my shop (including bobble flower pins and sprout hairclips) for both Canada-wide AND U.S. shipping!! It's my first time shipping outside of Canada so bear with me if I'm a little slow to get them out! I will be uploading bouquets soon (just about to ship off a test-package to a friend to see how it goes first!)

There’s nothing like watching your chill market videos to unwind after a long day. I also LOVE that you pan through the whole market, it feels like we’re on a FaceTime call and it’s so interesting to see what everyone brought! 🤣

It really was way bigger than I thought it was gonna be, walking around is one of my favourite parts! Different products have such different booths haha
Love your videos and watching you learn to adjust your business to what you want. Your products are beautiful. Something I learned from teaching is that when you feel really frustrated by the kids’ behavior you might need to look again at what instructions they didn’t follow and see how to clarify or even completely change the task. Maybe more signs, a clearer path, find a way to simplify your tasks so that you can interact with more than one customer at a time and so on. And make sure you take snacks to avoid exhaustion and being “ hangry”. You’re doing great -it’s a learning process and life is never perfect so have fun!
Most parents are also good at reminding their kids to be polite! It's only when they leave them to their own devices that I get a little awkward about how to correct them :S

I knoww I definitely need to invest in them, I've just bought so much display stuff over the past couple months that I'm really trying to cut down on spending ahhh

I’m very late, but please consider a “spandex fitted table cloth”
They’re pretty cheap, come in lots of colours, WINDPOOF! and people tug on them less. Machine washable.
Some have higher backs to hide things under the table still, and it hides better. Then you can just have a smaller plaid/whatever interesting bit on the top
I’ve seen people attach signs to the covers, but idk how I would do that
I need to look for where I can buy the signs too, I've seen them around!

I was borrowing someone elses tent so I didn't bring any tent walls, but I definitely will be bringing my own next time!
Most markets here in Texas don’t allow vendors to share so my sister has to pay the all herself when she does big markets or cons
Oh man that sucks :( it helps a lot when you're starting out to be able to split the cost, but it is what it is. It's interesting seeing what kinds of rules different states have!

Bigger markets could mean less sales too only because there is far more for potential customers to spend their money on or even possibly to overwhelming for a potential customer.

How do you sign up for market? What is your process like?
Hii! I talk about this in my Q&A video but essentially you just find the website for the market and fill it out! They'll tell you if you get accepted and then you pay a fee and you're in!
20:06 just another share - in the beginning I helped my partner with his art festivals plus alot of the admin and now I’m doing my thing and he abandoned his artistic pursuits long ago - he hardly helps me at all. Shows no interest other than to ask how much is my profit. So I hope this boyfriend of yours is just a shy guy - that he actually shows up to these stressful shows and supports you!! Don’t make the same mistake I did. Some people only get worse instead of giving you what you’ve been giving them.
Haha thank you 🩷 i appreciate you reaching out about it! His shows and things are usually 3x as big as the ones that I go to and I never ask him for help, usually I prefer to ask my friends first hehe but thank you 🩷🩷

Hahaha I think I am, I got a little over-ambitious with market sign ups and although stock wasn't necessarily an issue I was def super tired.
