This video is a LIVE recording and she kisks ass. The other OUTLANDER video is just a studio recording with concert footage. You can hear the background vocals and mix in the other one. This way you get to hear what she does live. The Drummer is Dmitriy Kim. I think this show was right after drummer Eugene Mantulins accident. Kim was new and did not want his identity known yet. Work related I think and also it was supposed to be a temp gig for him that lasted 3 years. He worked in the Studio they record at and also recorder Vlads old band. I also think he did the video of vlad playing along to a Jinjer Song in the studio which is sort of the audition tape. Shortly after that recording Kim was out and Vlad was the new Drummer. (video is on Vlads facebook page) The other guy, the skinny guitar player is Dmitry Oksen. He was the last founding member and he left the band shortly after this to be an actor. I have read that both of those guys did not like life on the road touring and wanted to be close to home and family.
Thanks for this. I had read that there were some members with families when I was first researching the band but later could not remember who. I'd wondered if they were still in the band and how they dealt with the band's uncompromising tour schedule. Good info!
She is unique imho. That last scream, where she went from her high scream briefly into her low and back to high again. Never heard that from a human. As someone said reacting to Dimash: that is not talent, it is a superpower!
Listen to ReVamp - "Wild Card" or "Disdain" for reference of some solid Floor growling. A lot of people only have Nightwish's "Yours Is An Empty Hope" as reference. She may not be Tatiana here, but she is still quite good. It impressed me the first time I heard it YEARS back. My first ever reference of female vocals like this, though, was Alissa White-Gluz when she was still in The Agonist, way before she was in Arch Enemy. It wasn't even on purpose either, they just happened to be opening for Epica in 2010. I wasn't looking at the stage when she came out, heard the growling, looked up and had to double take.

Your show is definitely not BS. : ) The drummer you see in this video is Eugene Mantulin, their 4th drummer. Unfortunately, he suffered a terrible accident: he fell out of a 3rd floor window, broke his back and had severe internal injuries. Fortunately he wasn't paralyzed and with the help of the band and friends he managed to recover. He might not play drums ever again but at least he won't be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. The second guitarist, Dmitriy Oksen, was the only remaining founding member. He left in 2015.
Jinjer still plays small small venues to fill in days between the big ones. When on tour they perform almost every single day, instead of going from festival to festival or large venue to large venue, they fill almost every single day playing somewhere. I got to see them in Germany at a venue that only fit about 150-200 people and at Wacken. The sound at a large festival is better, but the atmosphere in a small venue remains unrivaled.
Floor can growl, but Tatiana's is unique. Floor can do the opera, and versatile in many disciplines of singing technique including growling. But Tatiana is a pure natural in both her singing and growling outside of short term training she has as a little girl, everything Tatiana does she developed on her own with no training, and her growls are unusually deep and dark. Floor's are deep and dark too, but different. I would love to see a collaboration between Tatiana and Floor. Nightwish Yours is an empty hope live at wembley arena is the best version to hear and see Floor Growl.

@@Justin-nq6kf Alyssa for sure is, especially her earlier stuff with The Agonist. Iooo has the deepest lows I have heard from a woman, and among the deepest I have ever heard, Lenas cleans can be absolutely haunting, tho her screams aren't as good. They are all amazingly talented
In regards to her smooth transitions from her fry to her clean vocals, this is only possible because of her using proper technique. She's really top notch at what she does, all the band members are. Another person who does it just as well if not better is Devin Townsend.

I can't see the studio recorded, cut to pieces and reassembled version of a song as best. The best version to me is the most human version. The version that showcases the skill, talent and passion of the performers.
Oh, take whatever people say about modern day Nightwish and Floor with several buckets of salt (salt from their miserable tears). Floor Jansen is a great singer, she's been in many bands and has skills. She however doesn't do fry or growl all that great (and Nightwish and other bands she goes with don't require that to begin with), while she does do Rock, Melodic, clean, operatic, choir and other vocals suitable for Nightwish very well and her and especially the post Tarja Nightwish fanbase they've grown when Floor joined Nightwish are a bunch of rabid insane cultists. They are blind worshipers on the level of some of the worst religious cults. I loved Nightwish in the late 90's and early 00's, didn't enjoy their time with Annette (the poppish singing just didn't do it for me) and enjoyed some songs when Floor came around. But then these fans came along and utterly ruined it for me. I can't even listen to Nightwish with Floor without getting annoyed. As for comparing the two, dear lord, how can you even begin to do something like that when they do rather completely different things. At best you can compare the clean vocals and in that respect they are both great and versatile, although Tatiana has an ability to pick a voice and sound unique to every song Jinjer does, heck, in Teacher Teacher, you wouldn't even be able to definitively say that the clean vocals she starts with at the beginning of the song is the same person singing as the one at the end of that song. Floor is Floor in every song, her voice has a very distinct signature/tembre you can pick up no matter what she sings. Now if there was ever a time they covered each others songs, than you could possibly start comparing but otherwise, there's no point. Floor's fanbase loves making comparisons because she's the third singer Nightwish has had and are constantly trying to set up competition with other singers and seem to feel the only way they can put Floor on a pedistal is by bringing down other singers, including the two previous vocalist for Nightwish.
