Whatever makes you play more. I had both in 1996 but pawned them to get my gf a Christmas present 🤦♂️… recently started playing again and bought a $170 Epiphone LP special ii and then bought a new Fender Player Plus in Olympic Pearl with red tortoise shell pick guard and it’s beautiful and extremely well made for a MIM Fender but it wasn’t cheap but it’s easily the best guitar I’ve ever played. Not a fan of Pau Ferro and the maple neck is just phenomenal. However, I think I’m going to get a 1/4 sized acoustic because I can just pick it up and play something that comes to mind without getting my guitar out of the gig bag and plugging everything in… even though I do this several times a week with joy, I think an acoustic will make beginners play more without the need for equipment and dialing in tones is challenging at first and still is to me. I’m a beginner and I can play Sublime Santeria solo (decent but not great) and I’m learning Sweet Home Alabama slowly. However I only know a couple chords and probably should’ve learned them first. I did it backwards but I can play some nice riffs using the pentatonic scale. That’s why I’m here… Lol trying to learn those cowboy chords. You did an awesome job with the Eagles. I listen to them almost every day at the office on my playlist and then and Lynyrd Skynyrd are my two favorite American bands. I like 90’s Alternative a lot also considering I grew up in those times. Feels like Rock music is dead unfortunately. Anyway, nice playing and that midnight rider video was really good too
I myself prefer electric
Walt Parkhurst cool!
Have had some RLG Members ask about differences in acoustic and electric guitars so made this lesson. Enjoy!
