  • @AugieJohnston
    @AugieJohnston 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Good breakdown. Gotta avoid the travel though. This is a travel every time. To avoid the travel jump stop into the catch and eliminate the first jab and just shift your weight back and forth.

    • @SimplifiedHandles
      @SimplifiedHandles  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the feedback! Jump stopping is a great option, but you can also utilize the jab step if you make sure to dribble the ball first before lifting up the pivot foot.

    • @PTrey
      @PTrey 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Augie Johnston - I'm assuming you're talking about the rocker step. I also think this move is *technically* a travel because you lift the pivot before releasing the ball to dribble. But I think it is done so often that it's de facto a legal move and should be taught to players because of the advantage of being able to face up/reverse pivot, initiate with the jab, and getting the dribble timed with the inside foot.
      I've seen film of Kobe reverse pivoting with the left foot as the pivot, then ripping through going right and release the ball after the pivot is lifted. I think as long as it's one motion it looks natural enough to not be called.

  • @mbuckets2582
    @mbuckets2582 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Ey on that rocker step move. Honestly they will call a travel in the league I play in. From watching you the ball never hits the ground before your back foot lifts.
    Thoughts?
