    I'm a Penguins fan, but give props to the Senators, they gave us everything we could handle. Watch out for them next year. Also the Senators fans were and are incredibly classy. I've certainly gained more respect for the whole organization and fan base. Good luck next year.

    Sens fan here,
    This was honestly an amazing year for this organization, to be able to make it this far in to the post-season. We had good moments in the playoffs, and we should cherish those. As for this series, it was amazing, toe to toe and Pittsburgh eventually got the win with their amazing talent. We had a good rub this tear, and hopefully we will be back next year as well. Go Sens!

You gave us Penguins fans a huge scare and tested our nerves creating quite the dramatic setting for an epic game 7. I have nothing but respect. Also, Karlsson is such a class act. Liam Marelic it was an absolutely fantastic series. even though seeing your team run that 1-3-1 was like watching paint dry, your team pushed us to the edge every other night. your defensive playstyle paired with your goalie were perfect at neutralising our teams offensive speed and possession. seriously, I was starting to hear the words "saved by Anderson" in my nightmares, and my butthole would pucker everytime karlsson touched the puck .

    • @sbapungi1506
      @sbapungi1506 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the pens still managed to win the series despite the injuries they had in first 4 games.

    • @Stokie09123
      @Stokie09123 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Both sides had injuries, Karlsson was playing the series all but crippled. Penguins were the better side over 7 games, but they had a serious scare along the way. They got seriously rattled in the first period in Ottawa and to their credit recovered to do the same to Ottawa back in Pittsburgh.
      Ottawa were second favourites in every round, and to come within one goal on a Stanley Cup final series is a great achievement for a side that lots of people claim has no talent.
      This series took a hell out of the Penguins and I'll reiterate, I think Nashville will smash it.

    • @sbapungi1506
      @sbapungi1506 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are just being biased. The pens rattled, cause Fluery chocked big time. Why do you think Sully had to switch him with Murry ??
      Guess what, if the pens were 100% healthy, the sens would be damn lucky if the series went to game 6.
      If not for the questionable miscalls in game 6, the series would have been ended there.

    Questionable Pens power play? You go into the 3rd period in a game 7 and one of the teams hasn't been called for anything at that point, it's not like the refs weren't going to call something. That slashing call on Wilson for the Pens was pretty butter soft, too. Both calls in question were weird because the refs let a lot of more obvious penalties go in that game on both sides, typical playoff game I guess. Anderson was amazing and the series MVP of both teams. Best wishes to him and his wife. Wishing them all health and happiness.

I know everybody on the internet was tired of us Sens fans shouting from the rooftops about how jaw-droppingly good he's been but people finally got to see his brilliance. Sens are young and fast on the ice. I'd say they'll have another third round SC playoff next year and perhaps more.
    I've been a Pens fan for 45 years. Years where the only TV they were on was a UHF channel that was so fuzzy you had to infer where the puck was by how the players skated. Decades of being mediocre, at best, and I'm enjoying every match.

    Lets get real. The game WAS boring until the 15 minute point of the 3rd. That's when the intensity kicked in and made it a really entertaining game. But with that being said, a MASSIVE congratulations to the Sens for proving that anything can happen. Such an amazing story

      With Anderson's wife going through what she did this year, and their team overcoming the odds and making it to double OT of game 7 of the semi-finals against the PENGUINS, yes, I'd say it's an amazing story.

    Wow such a Pens hater you are . You make sure you mention the questionable penalty from Kessel but fail to mention the questionable penalty that Hainsey got called for in Game 6 that lead to a 5 on 3 for the Sens . And that WAS a tacky penalty call . League wide in this playoff year the calls and non calls in all games have been the worst I have seen since I've been watching starting in 1973 . The NHL is picking winners and losers instead of making correct calls .

    • @kinggoten
      @kinggoten 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      way I see it once playoffs start why do they even have the refs on the ice they do not enforce the rules at all during the playoffs.
      **edit they say they don't make calls because they don't want the refs to control the out come of a game, but how about this players play by the rules for a change.

    • @davidellis7238
      @davidellis7238 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sens fan here. Truthfully, I was screaming when Phaneuf took that penalty because I thought it was lazy and a good call by the ref. What bothered me was Pens players going down when they got beat, having the ref whistle down the play just to see the player get up, perfectly fine and skate to the bench. I do agree that the reffing has been extremely inconsistent, especially when it come to cross checking and hitting from behind... or boarding; whatever you want to call it. And, do I need to mention the goalie interference? Anyway, I can harp on about the instigator rule all day (Huge Cherry fan here) but they should either call everything as it plays or let them play. I hate when it feels a team gets a penalty because "it was owed to them". Having said all that, it's been a great play-off to watch.

  • @JoshuaBatJoshHayes

    Caps kicked the Pens up and down the ice? DUde- your analysis lacks depth. After losing 2 at home, the Caps were utterly disheartened and were outplayed in many key manners. They went back to the 'Burgh and got a win and this bolstered them to their rally- in which they played very well in games 3-6 (absolutely), with the games in Pittsburgh slightly slanted to Washington (except game 6) and the game in Washington (game 5) slanted severely to Pittsburgh until the third period. Then, in Game 7, where NOTHING ELSE BEFORE IT NOW COUNTS- 100% Pittsburgh discipline. Period. You're putting primary focus on the four periods from the end of game 5 through game 6. And putting almost of your analysis on shot totals. I was at a Bruins-Rangers game a couple years back where the Rangers dominated every phase of the game (unanimously) but were outshot 31-19 (ish, working a bit on memory, admittedly)- yes NYR won 3-1. Why? Quality scoring chances in the middle of the ice and keeping their opponent around the boards firing low percentage shots.

    I wouldn't exactly call the Sens Run Magical or Outstanding Run They were the 6th Seed that beat the 5th & 7th Seeded Teams playing the 1-3-1 defensive system & riding on the Hot Goaltending of Craig Anderson. They won 6 games in OT & it only went 7 Games vs the Penguins because The Penguins were without their 2 top D for the entire series. Screw the Sens

      Hot goaltender Craig Anderson? He wasn't outstanding until the Penguins series....shaky most of the way. The 7th seed was also in the Metro division, which would've been 2nd in the Atlantic. 6 games in OT and almost all of those games were late comebacks. Clearly you didn't watch any of the games. But hey, ignorance is bliss.
