    I live in Europe, I moved to the French countryside in October and I'm currently learning French in a lycée. Your chanel has been a great help in my ongoing journey living in France and I wish you luck in America.

    I lived in South of France for a good year in 2020 and had to come back because of Visa. I feel like I've left a piece of my heart there. Currently everything I do and learn is taking me one step forward to going there again. I just graduated as an architect and now looking for jobs there.Your journey from day one has motivated me so much everyday. From learning french to being a foreigner. Would be really helpful if u name the french language school you attended ? Thank you Cecily

      I’m so glad my content can be a source of inspiration for you. That’s my motivation to keep creating. I have also been mourning my life in Paris now that I’m back in the US. I have flashbacks of my times in Paris at the most random moments they’ll just play in my head. I’ll be driving in the car and think of all the time I spent sitting at a terrace in a cafe or I’ll be at the gym and think about the beautiful architecture and smells of the Boulangeries. It’s completely normal though, we left everything we knew behind. If France is where you are meant to be you will find a way to get yourself there I’m sure of it. Oh and my language school was called France Langue, don’t really recommend them though. It’s really expensive, you can get the same quality of teaching for less money. However most language schools in Paris are pricey. Have a great day and sending you lots of good energy.

      @@CecilysPerspective this reminds me of the quote "we're at home in this world when we're at home with ourselves" so here's to traveling to many many more places and leaving a piece of our heart in each of those places so that there is no one place that has it. ❤️

      Thank you so much for your kind words, this comment just made my day :) Florida is treating me well thanks for asking, mainly happy to see and be with my family again. Definitely still mourning my past life and what I was used to in Paris but I’m slowly easing into accepting and embracing what’s to come!

    Hi Cecily! I’ve been following your French journey since the beginning and had a few questions. I’ve been wanting to become an au pair myself but have absolutely zero clue where to start. Watching your videos has made me basically realize I want my experience abroad to almost exactly mirror yours. Would you consider making a video about a guide to being an au pair, the resources you used, and other helpful tips? And after spending 3 years in France, what’s your current French level?

    Can you talk about how you dealt with homesickness and missing time with family and friends in the states. For me living in France has been great but at the same time extremely difficult because I am really close with my family and to be so far from them and missing out on time that I could be spending with them feels like a part of me is missing.

    what visa path do you recommend for someone wanting to move to paris that has a small business in the u.s? i'd be living there as an entrepreneur but ive heard you basically need to have a job lined up to get any visa

    • @CecilysPerspective
      @CecilysPerspective  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t know much about any other visa processes other than the student one so I’m not the best person to ask. I think I’ve heard of some entrepreneurs being on a talent visa/ entrepreneur visa but again you gotta do your research bc i don’t have all the info. Good luck with everything I send positivity your way :)

    How did u nanny at the beginning if u were just starting to learn French? Was it really hard to communicate?

    • @CecilysPerspective
      @CecilysPerspective  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had to learn as fast possible, as the kid I took care of didn't speak any English. At that point me learning French depended how well I could do my job, so that really pushed me to pick it up as quick as possible.

    i know you can extend your au pair visa to 24 months but after that can you no longer be an au pair (is that why you got a student visa) or can you reapply for a brand new au pair visa?
