this is fantastic, i’m a violinist who played this back in 2021 with a symphonic orchestra and i thought i’d never be able to relive the Elation his piece gives me!! thanks for sharing this, esp along with the sheet music lol
5:36 back in the day, when i accompanied hymns at the piano including "Be Still, My Soul" (in F-major in our hymnal) for my church's congregation, i wanted so very much to cut loose instead in the key of A-flat, tremolos'n'all, like Sibelius intended. Oh, well...

3:30 the design is very human
Great transcription and performance. Really captures the spirit of the orchestral version, whilst also being completely pianistic
probably bc sibelius wrote this arrangement himself haha, though that does NOT take away from the skill of the performer tho holy frick-
thanks for bringing this one back
Obrigado
Nekem inkább a hegedűverseny a kedvencem, kizárólagosan Hilary Hahn közreműködésével. Sajnos Hilary-vel élő koncerten még nem találkoztam, viszont az említett versenyművel, Viktor Tretyakov tolmácsolásában, igencsak - Rudolfinum Prága (Dvořákova síň), 1987. november 13., Česká filharmonie, Vladimír Válek k.m.
Is this the same Tawastsjerna who wrote the well-known biography of Sibelius?
Hyvä Suomi!!
