Our church would definitely appreciate the lack of the mute button. The people on stage always gets confused and they have to grab a back up. Not yet available in South Africa but I trust it will be soon!
I´ve purchased 3 SLXD24D Beta58 and 4 SLXD1. We will use 3 Mics for our singers and 3 Bodypacks for the guitars in our Band. A few months ago, in the middle of a livestream, the cable fell out of my Mic, that was the moment, I decide to buy something wireless. I don´t want that anymore.
The sE Electronics V7 MC1 capsules are compatible with all Shure handheld transmitters equipped with an interchangeable capsule design. It is not compatible with BLX and GLX-D Series transmitters. >Mark
Hey Phillip, You're would right when it's a full digital system like the GLXD series. But the SLXD system is a Analog/UHF Conversion to Digital technology system. That gives you the clarity of Digital with the range and reliability of an Analog/UHF system. I have this system and I was able to go over 300 feet with no drop outs or signal interference or latency. Look into it more and you will be able to verify this as well.
Phillip, your statement is not entirely correct. These SLXD digital systems are UHF systems, they just use a digital modulation scheme. Their range will be similar to any other UHF system. You're probably referring to 2.4g wireless systems, which do, in fact, have worse range than uhf systems.
What would you use this setup for?
