In House of the Dragon season 2 episode 6, Addam Velaryon will claim the dragon Seasmoke. Rhaenyra Targaryen will fly to confront Addam, and Rhaenyra will receive many dragonseeds (people with Targaryen blood) at Dragonstone, where many will try to claim other dragons (Vermithor, Silverwing, Grey Ghost, and Cannibal).
Furthermore, in season 2 episode 6 of the Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon, Daemon Targaryen will keep assembling troops in the Riverlands. Aemond Targaryen and Criston Cole will plan and begin their march on Harrenhal to face Daemon. Alicent Hightower will confront Aemond. Rhaena Targaryen will see the dragon Sheepstealer for the first time during her stay in the Vale (the same wild dragon she will claim in later episodes). Aemond visits Aegon, seemingly to threaten him. Jason Lannister and Lord Lefford meet at the Golden Tooth with a huge assembled Lannister army. Corlys Velaryon arrives at Dragonstone to attend to his new duties as Hand of the Queen, and huge riots in King’s Landing, ignited by Mysaria through Rhaenyra Targaryen’s lady-in-waiting, will be seen.

I can't criticize it as it's in the book as well, but they don't think that parading poor brave Meleys' head would lead to questions against them: Oh so dragons can be killed? Dragons are fighting dragons now? We need to leave, Rhaenyra will respond etc.

its a risk they have to take, they lost meleys, one of two battle experienced and capable dragons other than caraxes. all the other dragons they have are too small and too inexperienced to matter when theres an actual battle against vhagar.

But yeah she out number greens by a lot after having the new seeds and still isn't decisive on crushing the greens all together. She's literally the cause of downfall for the Targaryen dynasty. She can't let go of the throne, doesn't wanna choose violent path, can't let the others who has battle experience in war go into battle. If Daemon and Rhaenys faced vhaegar together as Daemon asked, Vhaegar doesn't stand a chance. We are gonna see a lot of frustrating stuffs to come from Rhaenyra decisions and consequences of them
Because none of the Black’s current dragons are a threat to Vhagar apart from Caraxes who they aren’t even sure is on their side at the moment. As soon as the dragonseeds get their dragons Rhaenyra will tell Daemon and they will all fly to King’s Landing and take it.
Imagine hearing that. Being one of her closest allies like Darklyn and Staunton. Just across the bay, first to declare for her.
Then having your castle razed and people and kids slaughtered, while Rhaenyra sits across the bay and does nothing...

Daemon & Rhaenyra Story Arc Season 2 :
it's funny how i've saying for MONTHS that this is exactly what would happen, daemon with house bracken on harrenhal was him realizing he completely lacks the patience and the cautiousness needed to be king.
rhaenyra at dragonstone is her realizing even her own council does not fear her or truly believe in her capability in times of war, she was too cautious and the enemy is now in advantage.
daemon and rhaenyra's plot is basically them changing places, daemon is gonna have to learn to be cautious and rhaenyra will have to learn to be ruthless. daemon is gonna learn that rhaenya has the ability to trade with the common people that he does not. and rhaenyra is gonna learn that he has the commander in the battlefield and the sword ability that she does not.
it's what emma said SEVERAL TIMES, daemon and rhaenyra can't show weakness in front of the other, and this is something they'll overcome.
They don't need to waste so much screen time for that. We got it in ep 3. He has demons. He is not a nice guy (we knew before HoTD even started). Stand alone he is not the best leader.

The Dance of the Dragons is just sad. If there was no Targaryen civil war, Targaryens and their dragons would still rule Westeros
all those dragons would've been useful in the long night too
If Viserys hadn't ruled the way he had - gullible and council-pleasing and Hightower marrying, there would be no Dance either.
It's sad, he wasn't really ill meaning at all. Certainly there were worse Targaryen kings than him. But he inherited the seat at its greatness, and in 26 years, divided his own House and made war inevitable with his decision making.

Velaryons don't need a drop of Targaryen blood to claim a dragon. They are Valyrians and therefore can claim dragons with their own blood.
It's Valyrian blood- ANY Valyrian blood- that claims dragons, not just Targaryen.
Just because the Velaryons chose ships instead of dragons doesn't mean they couldn't claim them.
Over 40 different families rode dragons in Old Valyria. The Targaryen were just one of them and far from the most powerful

Yes Velaryons are from Old Valyria but were never dragonlords. Plus they've been intermarrying sailors/ westerosi houses - they don't practice incest certainly - so their Valyrian blood is diluted.
The way it is in F&B Lore: So long as Targaryens marry Velaryons, their dragon genes are safe .
Same way if a Velaryon marries a Targaryen, their kids can all be dragonriders.
But Velaryon blood alone does not make dragonlord.

Addam of Hull IN THE BOOKS was taken by his mother to claim a dragon, she insisted that Laenor was the father, the version that Corlys was the father was introduced by Mushroom. But even in the case that Corlys was the father, it's totally posible that the Velaryons had Targaryen blood since they were intermarryng prior to even the Conquest. Anyway, if Addam's mother took him to Dragonstone to claim a dragon Is because she knew he had Targaryen blood cause by their time there was no way they knew that anyone can claim a dragon.
The case of Nettles Is indeed a special one, some claim she was Daemon's child, I disagree. She is indeed the ONLY case of a no Targaryen claiming a dragon, but in her case you are forgetting something also very important: Sheepstealer was not a valyrian dragon, no one knows where those wild dragons came from.
Anyway, if you are going to claim that anyone can claim a dragon then ok, I think indeed we will discover that in the upcoming books(cause Is almost a fact that Nettles was cut from the TV series) but that statement of "Anyone can claim a dragon" is very different of your "Having Valyrian blood Is enough to tame them" cause that was simply not true, specially talking about valyrian unnatural dragons that were created with blood magic for only SOME of the old inhabitants of the Valyrian Freehold, the others you mentioned never rode dragons and Is obvious they couldn't cause if that was the case then they had tried to get power specially when Targaryens were weak.
Look in his latest blog GRRM practically admitted that you don't really need Targaryen blood to ride a dragon, but there Is a reason why only they were doing it and It was not because the others didn't want power. Or why do you think that all those Other Houses never at least tried? It's a question I hope you answer.
Now, my theory Is that there are two types of dragons, blood dragons created and tied with blood magic and nature dragons which never went to war and no bond done with blood Is needed to claim them and those are the ones anyone can claim, valyrian or not. You can say I am taking things out of my arse but the fact that Sheepstealer was the colour of mud and was ridden by someone who some compared to a Children of the Forest Is quite telling.

Why you tend to repeat the parts?
You're getting one concept wrong. Targaryen blood doesn't need to be mixed with Velaryon blood for them to ride dragons. Dragons are of Old Valyria and recognise Valyrian bloodlines and language. Velaryon and Targaryen are the only Old Valyrian houses to survive the Doom and reside in Westeros. Although the Velaryons chose the Sea and ships, they can still bond with dragons without Targaryen affiliation.
I still think cutting nettles makes no sense. They are really trying to take away any and every character that gives rhaenerya any character flaws

I think it's great that Daemon will he able to bond with his *actual* daughter instead of introducing a new person that we wouldn't care about.
This gives Rhaena's character much meatier, with a way better arc.

The show is depicting Rhenerya as a victim in every situation when it isn’t like that at all in the book. her having to flee kings landing and her eventual death are her fault because of her bad decisions when it comes to taxing the people of kings landing. I love Daemon but his story at HH is becoming boring
Boring. Out of character. Bad writing. Now with ep 5, downright disgusting.
Even if they had to have Daemon-Rhaenyra fighting, there was sooo much material to choose from.
Even if they had to give Daemon visions - there is literally the entire Targaryen family he loves to torment him with. All his dead relatives. Like they show Laena Velaryon, the dead wife he loved, his happiness. His dead son. His father. Grandma Alysanne. All his dead aunts. His lost Targaryen family legacy....
The showrunners have made many changes from the books which im kinda okay with, but one change i hope they dont change is the battle above the god’s eye. This to me was such an epic battle that they shouldnt interpret it another way for the show.
So far I really like the idea that the books are more of a history written after the fact, while the shows are actually what happened. So there are some differences, but it is similar.

If they thought the response to GoT season 8 was bad. Then just wait for the uproar that would happen if they were to scrap or drastically alter that encounter. There are just some parts of the book that are too iconic to change. Every book reader is waiting for that moment.

i dont think we will see the fall of king's landing in this season, battle of gullet happens before that and i doubt we will see that this season as well. they already blew threw much of their budget for this season with the batlle of rook's rest and the CGI for the dragon battles. thats also one of the reason why they cut short this season to 8 episodes.
They put Gullet in season 3, Kings Landing season 2.
@@Dinoo730 the shots you see in the trailer is not from the actual fall of king's landing, its a separate incident, a riot that the smallfolk start due to starvation. the timeline does not add up for fall of king's landing to take place before the gullet.

Its based on reliable leaks
Although not as numerous as the Greens army, the Black’s river land army encompasses actual river lands houses that know their land far better, furthermore when the blacks have the winter wolves which while few in number, shine throughout the war being the turning point in many battles and literally fight to the last man over the course of the war, Aemond eventually burning the river lands with vhagar in anger after finding out he was outmaneuvered and lost king’s landing will also rally the remaining houses to the blacks side which will lead to the combined Lannister and crownlands armies under Criston Cole to be trapped and whittled down leading to the deaths of many Green noble supporters and a huge shift in the war which would leave the greens with only there Reach army.
the greens also have the actual Hightower army and the Baratheon army, but both are occupied by other issues.
Can’t wait to see fall of Kings Landing in the finale, wondering if they will show Rhaenyra sit on the Iron Throne and cut herself on it, indicating she is not wanted by the Throne after all

And pinning them as parallels when S1 showed clear as day how that image came only on Aemonds side while Daemon couldn't care less
100% correct. Daemon didn't kill Vaemond for the amusement of the average one eyed teenager on the side. He's never even noticed Alicent's children. In his Targaryen viewpoint, they are not proper Targaryens, they are hightowers who Viserys has given access to dragons.
And Aemond, I get show Aemond being 20 and wanting to become feared and legendary and copying his uncle, but he's at best trying to be what he thinks Daemon is, what others around him tell him (which in Green camp is likely more evil and exaggerated).
Aemond reminds me more of Maegor Targaryen instead.
He didn't want a hatchling or baby dragon, Only the biggest most terrible dragon was worthy of him. He's raised in hatred and thrives on people fearing him, but at the same time he's not the one who planned the usurpation, and his family needed him.

Nettles was compared to a CotF, never It was said she was black, only people obsessed with race think that brown=black of race, then they live claiming that Nettles was "black" which simply was not true.

Hi everyone. I just would like to share a piece of my mind about all of this and the Targaryen history. I was thinking... even if the blacks had won the war without Rhaenyra and Daemon dying and more dragons surviving it, the end of the dragons was going to happen anyways. I have no doubt that, in a later generation, a similar situation was going to happen when an heir was not going to be accepted by the lords or the throne was going to be desired by another Targaryen (Maegor, for example) or a crazy one like the Mad King or Daenerys´brother was going to start hell. The Targaryens´Doom was meant to happen. They were their own downfall. Having a dragon makes a person dilusional with power. So, it was going to happen. This is what was represented with Daenerys death. The wheel had to be broken.
And yet dragons didn’t disappear it was only the throne that was burned so there’s always room for more turning of the wheel 😃
