After what all you went thru with the mods required with used system, do you think buying a new one, that was built for your truck; would it have been worth the extra money?
They are great! It looks like your drawer seals are missing. They look like a wiper blade that slips on the front top edge of the drawers. They will leak if you don't replace them.
I did have them. And did install them later on. They really did work pretty good and I never did have any water or dust in the drawers. They worked great!
I was thinking about picking up a used system out of an F150 and putting it in my Tundra. The overall bed dimensions are very close to the same. Decked said it would need some trimming here and there and may have some wider gaps in some spots plus since my tie downs are different I'd need some extra hardware from them. After watching this I think I'll wait to see if we get another $1,200 stimulus check and I'll use it to stimulate Deck's economy. I've been watching Craigslist for months for a used Decked system for a Tundra double cab but all I ever see are Ford, Dodge and Chevy systems. Not a single Tundra system listed.
Yeah. I watched the classifieds for mine for a few months before I found it. Then I ran over an hour later. I did have to trim some spots. But I like it. Only time I don’t like it is when I want to haul wood or other stuff.
@@thedirtlifesupreame I wouldn't have that problem. The Tundra is a company truck that I work out of for my job. The company won't pay for a Decked system though so I have a bunch of tool boxes and totes in the bed and back seats. I have a 20 year old 2000 Sierra 2500 that still runs and drives fine for wood hauling etc.
I bought 4 of the 4800 boxes. I have one for video equipment, one for recovery, one for my air compressor and one for the tire repair stuff, hoses etc.
Looking at buying a new f150 soon and this is on my list. Add this with a camper shell and it should make a decent little camping rig

After all the mods you had to do, would it have been worth spending the extra money to have just bought a new one??
On the front bottom of the drawers the little wheels have punched holes in the drawer. I am not sure how to fix it.
It's plastic, I would call the manufacturer, see what they say.

Are they the 3800 or 4800 harbor freight boxes?

@@thedirtlifesupreame thanks I haven't bought the decked system yet but harbor freight has 20% of store wide today
Looks great if it weren't for my 145 lb dog. I would buy it.
I weigh 195, it holds me up. But yeah, not a lot of height left inside the bed of the truck after doing that.
Dude, you need to stay still..i could only watch a couple minutes and i started to get dizzy.... Or get a tripod..
