Steve was annoyed at Coyote's eagerness, and Coyote was annoyed at Steve's reluctance.
Cause Steve has seen somebody get shredded by a wolvie before. Literally once a wolverine locks on you cannot stop it without a bullet almost.
Last thing Steve needed was his best buddy wolverine to lock onto Coyote
Sounds like the start of an inspirational movie

Loved his reaction when Coyote introduced his stuffed wolverine Gulo: "Oh, God." Hey, never mock a man's totem.

Steve is legitimately a beautiful person. I love his awkwardness, barefooted presence, and his connection with nature. A man after my own heart.
He kind of reminds me of L from death note

Coyote is kid friendly and might have given off an inexperienced vibe but by the end I think earned some credit
Lol
Absolutely OBSESSED with Steve! “He’s meeting your wolverine that you had as a child, OH MY GOD” lmao, such a good soul.
We need more human beings like Steve & Coyote.... Absolutely phenomenal people.
Steve realized he was dealing with someone equally as crazy when Coyote made him press down with the skull. There was recognition in those eyes

I thought Steve was the crazy one at first. But after watching I think Coyote totally surpassed him in craziness.
I love this man the moment I saw him, he just came out of no where barefoot saying that the birds had stopped singing so he knew Coyote was there

Steve is just a really solitary person. I don't think he hates coyote, he is just uncomfortable with him
Let alone a human coyote who that he doesn't know, who wants to interact with an extremely dangerous animal the very first day they meet. XD
NVR guru I thought he liked him and was very touched by his work being documented. Steve is da bomb!
NVR guru don't agree
i think so too but i think steve is just not a social person u can see by how he repeats some of his words while talking to someone
NVR guru I may not be war Wolverine expert but think he was just uncomfortable with coyote Wolverines to be left alone and if your new one you better watch your back cuz they might be chewing on it sooner or later better later than sooner
That ending, wow. Looked like it was trying to play but no it was getting tired of Coyote. Steve definitely knew what he was doing and knew when to get him out. Coyote was a few seconds away from needing stitches.
Alt title: Coyote Peterson learns how to become a mountain man and be one with nature

DatManBrooksie HD Based on some of the other comments here, apparently his ex-wife was killed by a tiger. So it’s fair that he’s jumpy. Especially in this he probably had a bit of ptsd? Either way, I’m sure he didn’t want anyone getting hurt by doing something reckless.

"Oh god" (x200) - Steve Kroschel, after Coyote Peterson says anything, 2016
lmao
Steve is fascinating and he is very grounded to nature. Humans think there is us and there is nature out there somewhere but we are part of this giant biosphere and ecosphere. Steve understands this but sadly humans have disconnected ourselves from where we truly belong. This was a terrific episode and the Wolverine is spectacular and beautiful.
Steve, you're amazing. Coyote - you too. Thank you for an amazing episode.

Wolverines can kill animals as big as a moose. Particularly in the winter when they're impeded by snow, where the wolverine will rush in, since its wide paws stop it from sinking into the snow, chomp down on the moose's windpipe and suffocate it to death.

Coyote is such a playful spirit - almost childlike in a way. Whereas Steve is obviously very solitary and used to only having animals for company. So I feel like Steve was mildly annoyed by the eagerness that coyote displayed but it wasn't anything with malicious intent. On another note, coyote's passion and enthusiasm is so inspiring and uplifting :) this right here is a man you'd take home to meet mom and dad, ladies and gents
Tyler Soap your comment is like a documentary on the guys doing the documentary

This is one of my favourite videos from Brave WIlderness, and this is my second time watching. I imagine being in the presence of a Wolverine to be a humbling experience, and seeing Steve play with one at the end was a beautiful sight. Steve is a damn gem. What a guy 😆😆 this was by far the best episode I've watched.
The guy with no shoes who films avalanches in close proximity probably thinks Coyote is a little kray 🤣🤣
"This is the first time i've actually held a wolverine skull"
"Really???"
love the reaction.
Yeah, like everyone holds wolverine skulls on a daily basis.
Coyote just got to experience his dream, and everyone in the comments are just talking about how "weird" Steve was. Steve wasn't weird, that's how he lives, as a person with nature and animals, and he should be respected, rather than called weird. This video was beautiful.
youtubes_trash Yea, people that live and work mainly with animals rather than people are going to be different. Shouldn't surprise anyone. Steve is an awesome guy I would like to meet also.
I thought Coyote was the weird one. Steve was just like "omg this guy wtf is he doing"
Kamron Burke I agree, coyote was being weird, especially with taking off his shoes. They are both characters in their own right. I was just defending Steve a bit. He actually reminds me of my uncle matt
You do realize with your comment you too are a "Steve is weird" commenter merely by mentioning that. As a side note weird means abnormal, which is an apt way of describing Steve's actions. It doesn't mean he is bad or anything... just that he doesn't act in the way people expect of others. Living with nature and animals the way he does is not what most people do, thus abnormal. That he studies nature the way he does and protects wildlife the way he does means he should be revered, but that doesn't mean you can't use the proper words in English to describe him.
I WANNA BE A STEVE
This brought happy tears! This show should be on Tv/cable as well!
I wish Brave Wilderness did more videos like this. Their filmography and commentary is so well done and I love the longer, story driven informative stuff over their now usual 10-15 min quick bits - I still enjoy those too, but these are something special - I still re watch this every couple months, its beautiful

I wouldn't mind befriending lots of animals that most people wouldn't see in person in their lifetime. It's one step closer to having the power of talking to animals which, admit it, everyone wished they had as a child.

I think Steve was not only awkward with Coyote because he has few interactions with other humans, but he also feared for his animal companion that he cared for its whole life. He feared that both Coyote and his wolverine friend might get hurt, and that's the sign of a true empathic spirit.

It sounds like its saying "Hi Hi!" So cute yet so incredibly and horrifyingly deadly.
I came back to watch this, I feel this is, the best episode, the most creative, that they have done. I think people take how Steve was, and what goes on too literally. Although there was some level of surprise and improvisation, Steve knew how to be entertaining for the camera.
You can tell that man doesn't interact with people very often, considering how easily nervous he is around Coyote. Or maybe he was pretty weirded out about a stranger showing up in his backyard asking him to let him get close with a wolverine. Who knows! Haha!
I don´t know if they called(or more likely smoke signaled(sorry)) in beforehand because Steve was seriously suprised to see someone.
Negative. Steve is a host as well who interacts with groups of people everyday to see his farm of wild animals. You can find videos of him on TH-cam. Type: wolverine attacks host
He was most likely nervous that Coyote would get himself hurt

That was the longest interaction Steve has ever had with humans so thats why he sent Coyote to take a nap because Steve needed a break from humans. lol
Honestly this is the most true comment on this video. Steve lives alone and is clearly very nervous to let Coyote in there. He’s over explaining and stalling. Sad how people are calling him a quack and drug head based just on this video
I honestly think he is a nice guy. Odd yes but that is everyone, he is doing what he loves to do and that is admirable. I wish I would be able to meet the guy and his little buds.

@@duckduck5728 all geniuses in any field are at best, quirky, at worst, seem like drug addicts, I agree that this guy is very nice and nowhere close to a druggie. He simply is just used to the somewhat predictable nature and interactions of animals, humans dont follow the same needs or wants and can be hard to be prepared for without time in advance, double so for someone who is a bit more isolated. Man I feel bad for Steve, he's a very calm and careful guy and Coyote is super energetic and takes risks
these type of people can mesh well, it just takes time for a bond to form, they can sometimes even balance each others weaknesses. Like in this episode Steve kept anyone from being hurt with his careful approach, and Coyote brought him out of his shell a bit and some practice with interacting with other humans.
He might be calm but inside he's just as wiley, seeing as he's an adventurer
