    This knife reminds me of the story I once heard about a young bull, old bull, and a field full of heifers. Beautiful end result nonetheless.

    I’ve given up trying to glue leather while on the tang , now I glue up a stack and drill the stack just like if it was a wooden handle , I found it’s easy and less voids

    Amazing Blade sir! That was a most enjoyable peek over your shoulder as you went through the process of this build, thanks for taking us along! Funny thing though; for some reason, and for just the briefest instant, no more than a whisper above the sounds of the shop, I thought that I caught the sound of a gentleman's voice over your other shoulder saying something along the lines of, 'hi I'm Bill, Bill Scagel, and I must say, that is one fine blade!', or maybe it was just the reverb from the Little Giant 50 Pounder . . . .🤔? Be well.

    Just a tip…glue and compress your leather as a block before you assemble. An added bonus is being able to drill a tang slot/hole through the leather like you would any other hard material.

    Lovely work. I just wanted to say that l am not usually a huge fan of brass, leather, or antler in handles, but the way you put them all together really ended up looking fantastic and compliments the blade very well.

    Deer handles are not my thing, and distressed brass, well I don't prefer that either. Thank you for showing me all the science that goes into the work that you do. It's mighty impressive when you come up with designs on the fly, you are very artistic. Now make an out the front switchblade that will go through a brick wall and not close. Then you would be the best in the world with steel.

    now I see where the two layers of 15n20 make such a big and impresive difference to the final pattern, they really make the twist pop and super obvious ...definitely worth the time on the handle. it looks awesome.

  • @Joe___R
    @Joe___R 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    In your future builds it is best practice to fully finish the guard before you install it. Trying to shape it after it is on the finished blade will only result in one of two things. You damage the finish on the blade or you can get a good finish on the top of thd guard.
