My favorite decks to watch CGB play are the decks that CGB loves to play, and the same is true for other content creators. I remember watching what must have been CGB playing 100+ Yorion decks, loved them on this channel even though I rarely played Yorion myself.
No more joy than seeing a streamer play the deck they love. These are the best times to be around. I don't mind seeing you play janky builds or trying out new decks to see their play patterns, but seeing you handle the Lamborghini you crafted yourself just feels that much better than seeing you drive that other car you rented out.
Got countered when lier was on the battlefield. I hadn’t seen either control video before today. I hit the opponent with the “oops”. Little did I know the real “oops” was on me when they divided by zero the lier. RIP
I mean, it probably would've been dumpstered if cgb predicted planeswalker spam rather than just control. It got carried hard by missing any removal for kaya for several turns.
Teachings of the Archaics has been amazing for me in blue/white. Considering going up to 3 in the sideboard. So much value in the storm the festival, dragons, and control lists i find myself playing out my hand a lot and teachings has never failed me
Aw man, I absolutely hate U/W control with all my aggro heart. That said, I enjoy watching you play the stuff you enjoy, so keep on doing it boss. You put out so much content so continue to do the things that make you happy.
CGB this is your magna opus of Innistrad. It absolutely smacks. I was having fun last months with the 2x Devious Coverup, 1 Teferi, 1 Mord, and had fun but it was a bit inconsistent. Was messing around with my brews past couple days but struggled to get much traction. Booted this up and went like 25-5 to just outside of diamond. Well done m8!

I don't know, the one you showed a few days ago felt more solid, I don't doubt this is better if you say so but the late game looks more like a standoff rather than a lockup
I’ve been playing Boros burn for a while now and I think it actually has a good match up with this deck. One addition I made to it to counteract all of the control decks was Usher. Landing that on turns one or two means that they have to use a boardwipe faithful absence or ravelry to clog the board otherwise it keeps making tokens and you don’t have to play into the counter spells. Once they go for a big play like doomskar You just unload all those bolts and shock effects for the last bit of damage.
Was hoping to see this Lier UW build! Interested to hear the thinking behind the choice of Consider over Mending. Is it just 1 v. 2 CMC? Mending seems so good for this sort of deck.
I totally feel what you said about blood money. I've been playing the blood on the snow - ghast - dispute - merchant shell spashing blue for deluge, test of talents, and divide by zero and been doing really well with it so far, managed to compete in the mythic leaderboard.
I didn't play magic in a long time because I didn't have enough wild cards for this new standard and I used all of them to craft the first version of this deck you posted and I can't lose a game even if I tried, great deck!!

I normally love these videos, but by god the meta he’s describing and the one that I’m experiencing and untapped are describing are worlds apart. Mono green might as well be the only deck in the meta given that something like 70% of my games are against either it, or another deck abusing chariot + wren, and the remaining 30% is mono white. How are creature decks not the focus.
meat hook shuts down mono white as well as crippling fear the issue in paper is having access to the card since its rare right now. for wrenn and seven decks negate is legal still and saw it coming is the best counter spell in a long time. dimir out tempos it having tons of tools in its box, the sludge monster answers wrens tokens and makes them useless. chariots get popped by flunk, infernal graspes, bounced negated etc. grixes is wrecking house with burn down the house. im happy since i love control. not to mention valki still being legal makes dealing with creatures alot easier as well.
ok CGB you have turned me to the dark (blue) side! When I started playing MTG 2 yrs ago, I was attracted to blue but quickly discovered I couldn't play it, so I played black, then branched out and tried everything, eventually accepting that white wins best! I came to dispise blue but now with this deck (my variation) I am learning to play blue and enjoy it!
I love Lier,i have made a jeskai version with 4 copies of Geistflame reservoir and 3 copies of revel in silence.Reservoir has shown to be pretty good in a deck with bunch of instant and sorrceries and revel in silence on their upkeep paralises many decks in crutial moments. When Leer hits the battelfield and with couple reservoirs in play its mostly lights out for the oponnent.I tought the deck is a complete meme but it turns out pretty good.Had a bit problems with mono green agro though, still Lier is such a house of a card
I’d argue Blood Money isn’t just the Orzhov version you debuted, but any shell of Eyetwiitch, Shambling Ghast, Deadly Dispute, Skullport Merchant (the “money” or treasure package) + Blood on the Snow and snow lands. Right now there’s a mono black variant that is popular. Do you think that version is bad as well? Would be curious to hear more/why.
