In my life I had listened to great stalvads like Ustad Bade Gulamali se lekar Pandit Omkarnathji and from Hirabai Badodekar to Malliksrjun to Kishori Amonkar ,this women Debasmita is of same category. What a scintillating Bimpalash and Equally inspiring Durga. Wounderful ti listening to very crying Bhairavi. Goodluck my dear,you are pur light of music on future,A TRUE VIRASAT. equally great Tabla Sangat wounderful theka and Boltaan. Great musical experience at this age I m amaze to know our protégé are still kicking.
Direct Question- MOTHER, are you Human Being or Godess playing music?. Mother, Your music-Raag Bimpalasi-is too sublime, soul stirring and deeply nourishing and awashing indeed. Though a hard core Lawyer, I know not how many tears of joy oozed from edges of my eyes, after so many years, upon listening-immersing-in this music. The Alaap was so soft, so pure, so sincere and melliflous. Later, there was jasba. How the sky or heart ripped I can't say. Your music dissolved all my words of many languages and all dictionaries to such an intense and rich flow that I can only express my deep GRATITUDE to you. No flattery. No exaggeration. Bimpalaasi was my deceased father's favourite Raag. I love raag Darbari Kanada , Shamanic music and Spanish Music a lot besides sounds of nature and all sincere music. There is sheer meraki in your involvement and rendition. I wonder and salute about the depth of your preparation/riyaaz. This music really clenses me and elevates my spirit. Any sensitive and keen individual can surely have some glimpse of deep, calm, rich, flowing meditative state while listening to this music and watching the natural deep immersion of artistes herein. You have enriched our culture. Universal Culture of Man himself. With deep reverence and joy, I feel glad to again express my gratitude. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Excellent rendition of three sublime ragas __ bhimpalasi, durga and bhairabi. Your strokes are so powerful and perfect that hit deep into the soul. Mesmerizing , I should say. Tabla accompaniment by Shubhojyoti Ghosh is very much appropriate, never surpassing the string sound. He also created a divine atmosphere. Many many thanks to both of you.
I must say that I very much appreciate the beauty of the phrases that seeem to sprout effortlessly from Debasmita hands, not only in this one but also in other ragas that I found on TH-cam featuring her. As we say here in Portugal, the son of a fish does surely know how to swim. Well, in this case, daughter... But I add that she doesn't need to fear comparison - she is obviously a full-fledged musician herself.

i have enjoyed such music for a number of years, i do not pretend to understand the categories, mechanisms and structure that define the rules of the playing of ragas and such, however, the delicacy of the phraseology exhibited in this Alap; it's sweetness.. reminds me of Pt Nikhil Banerjee, though of course his discipline was different. The expressiveness in face and body of the players, (the touch of Sri Subhajyoti at 31:30 ), is as much a joy for the eye as the music for the heart. There are clouds of dragonflies in the ochre heavens, swirling at aruti in Belur. Kartik, the Hoogly, languid and serene laps the ghats, the boatmen draw their nets as the breath of Maa kisses the cheeks of her children. Regards and thanks from a Scotsman in Scotland.
I must say you are the best in all new generation artist..... Some time I compare you with Saran Rani and Baba Ali Akbar khan saheb. Hats off.... Completely blown away by the power of your mellifluous and sublime presentation. Tabla accompaniment is also enchanting and perfect.

The guitar comes alive in the hands of Mark Knopfler, Jimmy Hendrix, Hank Marvin, David Gilmour, Keith Ricards. Even as a child I loved the sound of the Sarod more than the Sitar. Ms. Bhattacharya takes the Sarod to new heights - in her hands it turns into milk and honey.
