- When I sing or listen to Raga Bhairav in the morning, I find revelling myself in bliss.
Here is a rendition of my Guruji Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankarji's bandish "Har Har Shiv Shankar" - one my most favourite Bhairav bandish.

I am a white Canadian man, and I find this to be absolutely lovely, relaxing, and grounding music.
Her voice, and the language, it sounds like what I imagine some of the Gods of India may sound like (pardon my ignorance of the specifics of the many cultures, beliefs and people of India)
The instrument making that drone sound in the background, makes me think of the constant resonance of the cosmos, the infinite vibration of the universe. Perfect for meditating to.
I love the good peaceful people of india, all who have come to my country that I have met have been lovely people. Bless you all, I hope light and love follow you wherever you walk.
This Raga changes the neurochemistry of the brain and releases serotonin. It can cure anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, panic attacks and even psychosis. My doctoral study was on Raga and Raga Bhairavi, which is played at night. That was a very good attempt by the singer. I would love to hear the same in a male voice as well.
Who cares what your sex or skin color is? Why even make those things relevant at all? You really need to get out of that identitarian mindset, brother.
I am 27. I started listening classical music from 15. Day by day I am finding classical music very relaxing and divine❤

I turned on to Ravi Shankar in 1967. He was a headliner at the Monterey Pop Festival.
All kiddies favor the goa trance versions of such timeless songs hehehe
Funny, it makes me cry.
I was never accepted by my Indian half as being Indian. So it goes.
I have never experienced this kind of wonderful singing - ever. Indian music seems to be more sublime otherworldly and have more notes also. And the finger drumming sounded like multiple drummers. Just wonderful. Thank you. ❤

A masterpiece in its own right...It's a pity that the joy and effect of meditation achieved by listening to this amazing piece is suddenly and cruelly cut off in the middle by a devastating ad! which means youtube guys in charge are either careless or illiterate in this respect.
Use an ad blocker. They are usually free. (They ask for a small donation once a year or so.) At the same time that is how these people are making money to buy everything they need to record a video.

Very insensitive of them, isn't it? Alphabet is a corporation. They don't really care if anyone loves or hates them, nor do they care what we think of their lack of respect for culture or anything else. I love to open my heart and mind to all music, the music of India by far is the most complex and amazing. 90 percent of western singers could not intrepid this beautiful masterpiece. Thank you for the blessing.

Wrong. You are talking apples and oranges here. Western singers do Western music, with harmony most often. It is not less, and Hindu singing as much as I enjoy it is not more, or better. It is different. Western singers have no need to interpret this music, not least because the words are in Hindi, but also because the scales are completely different. It is not more complex than a Bach Fugue for example. I'm glad you like it but stop crapping on the West because you don't understand either the West or the East.

I absolutely loved this!! Amazing talent; it's funny as when I was younger, I use to think what a lot of noise and now I am older, I really appreciate the talent and skill involved and just love listening to Raga's now. It makes me think of perhaps past lives, or, era's gone by, where your soul would have experienced this previously and you suddenly have this realisation of knowing, you have heard it before. A trivia: this gliding of note(from high to low or low to high) in Indian Classical music is called "Meend". Pronounce 'ee' as in seen and the 'd' as in Day.

That was the most amazing and inspiring sitar performances I have ever heard. I watched her left hand play in the air what I imagine was what it would be playing on the sitar, But it was playing the notes of her voice Her voice was the upper hand of the sitar.
