Hello, i was the one who organized those fanevents in Europe.
I would like to say it was kinda expected this song could be a fail. But i believe the meaning and less known status of the song was also a determinant factor to choose it. There have been some fails previously in the tour. Its not the end of the world and it usually gives a funny moment. I think IU will cherish this one and was touched to see a less known song to be chosen and she even gave us a performance of this song which was already like a special gift !
So i hope people wont take the fail too seriously, specially for a western audience. It was a memorable concert and we can cherish every moment of it ❤
yes, everyone had a good laugh about it and it definitely created a core memory for everyone involved ❤ so I think it all worked out in the end. however, i think the other cities should not make the same dicision or IU will be saddened if it happens more then once that the audience doesnt sing her encore song😅
Hi i was abt to ask this and was wondering how do u guys usually decide what song to choose for her fan events in every country?! D song was too difficult. I guess d purpose of these fanevents is for d fans to participate as well..correct me if am wrong.. ✌oh aint you the song she made for her bff yoo inna..😉
@@Blackpinkumdaleohwangie it's up to every fangroup organizing i believe. Some just ask to their members their favorites, other want to do a special theme for the night (like we did for strawberry moon in london which was more successful) and others just go with a song that could be meaningful even if it's harder ( like i did for you, or taiwan did with the Uaena song, or manila with Good Day which also kinda failed ). I felt "you" was very meaningful in our situation, in some lines.
Of course you can go for the safe ones, like TTN, Heart or Celebrity. Every Uaena should be able to follow it. But i decided to propose an original choice, and in the end it gave such a unique moment for the Berlin concert when she came to sing the song, which she already barely does in Korea ! But tbh the staff didn't help, because the first line stayed wayyyy too long on screen for no reasons, it lost the few people who were trying it to start with 😅
And yes it's the song she wrote for Yoo Inna.
Hey there, I was one of the voters too. Though I didn’t choose „you“ but I didn’t mind since I liked all the song options at that time. But without the instrumental I was completely lost and needed even open my Spotify (which wasn’t successful due to my poor internet connection inside the hall) to remind myself how the melody was. But at the end of the day I was laughing out loud to my own foolishness. So this is not completely because of the song option but also the staff, the silence and the pause 😅🥲
I think it was a smart move because you got her to sing a concert version of this beautiful song??? THANK YOU, BERLIN! THANK YOU, IU! 😭

YOU has never been sung in concert before and given it is off of one of her least known EPs it was a strange choice. But at least we got its live concert premier!
One of the moments that made this concert memorable. Had a headache thinking which song and what tune. Had the same reaction as the one taking this vid. Laughing all the time and shouting at the interlude and "neo neo" part 😂
One korean uaena said if this was to be sang in korea, they might failed it too lol so don't worry berlin and be-aenas, a brave challenge, the heart is more important ❤😂

It was so funny, I was there and learning Korean, but I couldn't sing and reading was too fast and difficult.

Every song I know I sang along, but this one I didn't know before.
As a german the pronunciation of korean words is very difficult and i stumble over every second word.
It's impossible to read at that speed without proper exercise first.
아이유님 노래 거의 다 들은 저도 가사만 봐서는 얼른 노래가 떠오르지 않는데....ㅋㅋㅋ

To be fair to Be-aenas, that song is really difficult to sing especially in acapella. Here in Manila, we didn't also do justice to Good Day even though that is a very famous IU song and we practiced a lot. It's so hard to sing in a different language in acapella.

even Koreans said they would have failed "You" because it is that rare, even IU said she almost never sang this song not even in Korea. But hey we all take it with humor and see it as "Task failed successfully" in the end she sang the song for us and we could sing along with her, would say that is a big win in our books

Yes It's not easy to sing Korean song for Berlin UENA. ^^;;;
its not really about the korean lyrics, but many were confused when the lyrics just appeared without a clue or music guide so in the end we just ended up not singing at all and opted for cheering instead 😅

it technically also has been a success in Berlin 🤣 Task failed successfully in my and lots of other peoples books, we all had a good laugh with IU and in the end she sang the song which she herself said she rarely sings even in Korea. Also Korean fans all over the place even said they would have not be able to do this song because it is a not well known song and not so easy. But yeah in the end IU laughed at it and we had so much fun with her (I was also in London so I know it was great there as well) and I mean she said in her Fancafe she ranks Berlin in her Top 3 of crowds from this tour together with Yokohama and Manila

@@richard6025 Its part of the current concert structure kind of. And its coordinated with the local fans which song is choosen actually. For Europe the IUcord discord Server was the base. I do not know if this will also be the case for the US. But I saw fan projects somewhere so have a look for it.
@@richard6025 By she/her you are referring to IU? Then I need to correct you. This fail attempt to get audience to sing You is a fan project to surprise IU. It is not IU idea. Every country IU hold the world tour has their own fan project for IU.
So the failure is on the one organizing the fan project. The US fan just need to be smarter and choose a safer more popular IU song instead if they want the audience to participate.
