You got me with the memory of the popsicles.... I'm a child of the 50s and no Tupperware yet. My mother used Kool -aid in metal ice cube trays... I was only allowed one! They were special to us. I think in those days, less was more. Ron, I can't believe how vivid your memories are. I do get flashbacks here and there if reminded of something in my childhood. Maybe I should start a journal on those...for fun.
Right Catherine, I remember those like it was yesterday. We would suck all the flavor out of them and then you would have to give those handles back to mom-- remember they were two pieces?
@@FacesoftheForgotten grandma was a Tupperware Lady! We had all of the "COOL STUFF"! 😁 Tupperware parties were the best! I went with GMA and always left w/the best treat's!
My grandparents lived in Dolton, IL back in 1965. They lived in an apartment building that looked just like your childhood home. Their apartment was a basement one. Lots of good times visiting them when I was a child! Grandpa worked on the railroad, and they had lived in Chicago since the 30s.
This video made me go back to my own childhood! Plenty of great memories of my beloved granmother! It's been 37 yrs since I lost her, and I still put flowers every Christmas, Mother'd Day, Summer, and Fall seasons!
Thanks so much, Ron. You CAN go home again. Intriguing story about the scarecrow lady. We have so many great investigators in this group, I know someone will find out who that poor soul was. Have a very blessed Christmas season and I wish you and yours a happy new year.

You are a great story teller! I could listen all day. Loved the walk true the neighborhood and the stories. I actually find myself answering you at time.
Viewing a month later, but what a great story of your old neighborhood. So many memories. We had a couple areas of woods in my old neighborhood too. And the worn paths through the woods. And all the neighborhood houses, the people, there’s a story to tell. Good to watch your videos. Also. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen the cemetery remove the sod around the stones like at that cemetery. Certainly helps with the growing grass next to headstone.
My heart stopped. I lived in Addison, Illinois in an apartment complex that looked just like that. I loved the big picture window, but the view was directly across from the neighbors picture window.
Yes Ron & family, have a wonderful Savior Day Merry Christmas.....And to all the folks, from my heart 💗 to yours and loved ones...stay wise and safe!!!
OMG! How horrible for a 6-year-old! I hope that poor woman was identified and her murderer was put away. It's a horrific thing to put a dead body somewhere where children can find it, to compound the horrific way she was murdered. What a gruesome find for anyone to make. Perhaps this is what made you the super-hero of the forgotten that you are today. Here's hoping that you and your family have a wonderful holiday season. See you next year, Ron!

Ron, on a 2 lane hwy outside Newburg, Oregon, it goes to Gaston, and thru to Cornelius and Hillsboro, and up there Portland area. But this is very small town and rural. after you leave Newburg, going north, the road takes a sharp left, but u can also go straight. On that corner there is on the left, a pasture with a big rodeo practice area, with chutes and pens etc so if you go forward instead of left to Gaston (no stop) just a little ways, you see a small cemetery sign. Follow it and you won't be disappointed. It is small and very old. I read an inscription, don't remember the name, the girl was 17 and the headstone is a quote from her, it says "my life has been short, but it's been a good one." I have wondered for years about her and others. We have lots of those, my home town even found a couple lost cemeteries. One in Keizer, where I'm from. I am going to find the one I told you about when I can. You would love it here.
