I ran with the bloodhound fang for a while, used it to farm 2 magma blades, re spec, and used the dual magma blade build until farum azula, that's when I buffed a blasphemous blade to +10. I don't think i died a single time..... When I reached haligtree, I was bored, so I re spec again, now using ROB. This is my first playthrough, and, I think the best part of the game is larval tears. I've had so much fun trying out different builds.
Confession time: I actually like RoB a lot. It was the first weapon that I got my hands on and I was convinced I wanted to play with it the entire rub. Not because of the Ashe of war or arcane builds being op but because it reminds me of the mortal blade

The Armor takes some finesse. Take say the Excentrics mask paired with Sorcerers Erent. The hood from the mask pairs so well with the trim on the jacket. I just wish you could remove more than just capes. I hate the stupid stocks necklases on the commoner outfits. Because those capes are dope af but the necklace kills it for me

They're the Swiss Army Knife of PvE. They can do it all, except long range. Best cleave ash of war in the game, amazing light attacks damage, and easily procs the "consecutive hit" buffs which are also some of the strongest.
Me: but I tried out every weapon with every build you can absolutely fathom and ended up with the giant-crusher and the most heaviest set of armor in the game with full endurance, strength, and vitaltiy.
It’s probably not my favorite weapon but the sword of night and flame is just fun to use. And I remember when Elden Ring first came out and I watched a video titled “op early game weapons” or something and I went on a little quest to get it. It’s like nostalgic now.
The wheel is almost as iconic as the dark moon great sword. So seeing both of these to legendary weapons that are well known in bloodborne and Elden get denied is like someone breaking into my house and spitting on my food💀

Bloodhound Fang goes absolutely bonkers with a Quality build. It starts a little on the meager side, but once that thing starts scaling properly AND you can buff it? I actually had to trade out a few dps regular talisman because I was oneshotting everything on a powerstance build. Seeing numbers reach 2K per hit while buffed... that is how hard my dragon claw hits, which takes twice as long to hit.
I see alot of people talk shit about Bloodhound Fang but after ng+3 i still find myself going back to it so much after trying out all weapons and builds. Damage and buffs is almost incomparable. Its just fun too.

At this point I have a strong emotional attachment to that sword (other than it being the Guts sword) Defeated Godrick with it, then kept using it, all the way to Radagon/Elden Beast, homie was with me all the way through
My 2nd character in the game is using that sword and so far I've made it a long way with it. I dont think ill be changing it any time soon. It's been with me through thick and thin.
I just got the hound blade from the boss fight today for the first time and already want it as my main for the wide swings and abilities to move around quicker then the meteorite katana sword
