Another lion leaves another food chunk on ground to look for a better chunk, last lion moves over to inspect and licks at abandoned chunk, but again loses interest. Then finally finds the chunk he wants, but moves out of camera view and a greater distance from the initial swarm spot than all the other lions. If he was weak and thin then maybe you could make all the usual assumptions, but in his current condition - I dunno... a dark horse of some sort.
