- I have been craving a trip to the thrift store!! There are so many amazing ones that I’ve been meaning to check out and the last time I went to one, I was very impressed by the selection so I need to go back into the wild west of California thrift stores. So let's see what we can make with only $100! I'm challenging myself to use up leftover materials and get creative with my projects.

I’ve got the thrifting bug and can’t stop now! This video was a lot of fun for me to film and shop with y’all, so thank you so much for watching!! What thrift flips should I try next? 🤔
Okay HAIR!!! 🤩🤩
Thank youuuuu! I think this is the best it’s looked in a looooong time ☺️
Agreed! The hair is beautiful! ❤❤❤
@@tinalemac It's so healthy and shiny
The white bowls you got are perfect for food and water for that black cat you are going to adopt! LOL
I would keep the mirror or make a disco effect with them. Especially when you are going to use it as a candle shelf. Just imagine the light against the mirror... beautiful ❤❤❤
I love how you say the kitty makes you want to get a cat. Tina, you have a cat. He chose you already.
You hair is looking especially gorgeous ❣️
Your hair looks amazingly 😍
Love the candle shrine idea. The color not so much. It would pop more in either a darker or warmer color. That nesting table idea with a curved bench and wine rack reimagined as a table is top-tier. Great idea! It's definitely my fave part of the video. Like everyone else said, your hair and skin are glowing! Keep gracing us with more creative inspo
Your thrift store adventures are always a delight to watch! I'm excited to see what treasures you uncover and how you transform them into beautiful creations with your creativity and resourcefulness.
That black cat is adorable! 🥰
You’re so talented, love! It’s fun to watch you challenge yourself and really put your imagination to the test ❤
Wow what an awesome job on the ottoman and the wine rack, the candle holder was amazing. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾💖🥰💯💫🌷🕊️
I truly look forward to Sunday mornings soooo much! I love watching your channel for inspiration. Also your hair looks AMAZING ❤
Awwww, thank you so much!! 💛💛
I love how everything just transforms into beautifully decorated pieces! Thank you for sharing!
I do so enjoy the aetistry in everything you do! Thank you for sharing!
I love that you are in my hood eating at my favorite spots and now thrifting at my favorite shops
Welcome to OC!
The thrift stores you have in California are amazing! I guess I have to research the good ones here in NY!
On television I've seen Lara from FLEA MARKET FLIP talk about the Brooklyn Flea.
It's an outdoor flea market that is huge with a lot of stuff . SHE ALSO TALKS ABOUT ANOTHER ONE THAT'S IN MANHATTAN I THINK IT'S IN MIDTOWN💫
Wow Girl ! Your hair ! It looks so beautiful & so healthy looking You look so pretty !
I thoughtthe same! Maybe she is expecting😊
love that little candle shelf so much!
They all turned out amazing
I don’t usually comment on this sort of thing but you are literally glowing in today’s video! Your hair and skin looks so healthy and glowy! Especially against that background, love your shirt as well!
Great haul. You did a lot with a little.
I love your videos. Not to be negative, but why don't you clean your piece before sanding them? I restore furniture and found that when you don't clean first, you are essential sanding the dirt into the wood. It causes the paint to not last as long. Plus, you sand whatever smells on the piece to stay.
I like the result of your DIY finds - you are the best!!
Gorgeous video as always! Btw I think those copper fish molds were used (mostly midC) for fish flavoured jellos & pastes/spreads. But you could absolutely bake a cake in it (just grease the inside REALLY well). Super retro vibes. Collectable :)
Ooo, I did not know that was a thing!! I love it and kinda wish I got more now 😂
Mmm a smoked salmon cream cheese spread 🤤
The fish is an aspect mold. Which yeah you could use for many things. Aspic is like jello, but savory. I think!
of course it goes in your home and it is your taste, but personally I really feel like the paint job was a downdrade to the mirrow/shrine thing. It looks so beautiful in wood, so a new stain would have looked amazing!
Was looking for someone else who had the same thought as me lol I also think keeping the mirrors would have given a cool reflection effect with the flame of the candle 🕯 but like you said her home her taste I think she really liked it 👍
Hi Tina! 🙋🏻♀️
I like how the candle shrine turned out. I like how you hung it on the wall. I expected it to go in a corner. I like the red paint seen through the cutouts! 🕯️❤️😄
I like your wine rack reimagined as a foot stool. Good choice painting the silver black. I love wrought iron decor accents!
I was thinking that with the ottoman being soft you could set a drink or plate on the wood topped stool.
You could raise the ottoman a little by adding feet or wood strips with felt on the bottom to slide softly on your floors. Then the wood topped stool could slide completely under the ottoman if you needed the space.
Glad you found several items at the thrift store that inspired you!!! Thank you for sharing!!! Love, Hugs & Sparkles! ❤️🫂✨
Whaaat?! I’m totally buying this dye to give some old chairs I have a new life!! Thank you for the inspo! 💛
This was such a fun and insightful iting video!! ❤😊
You could store wine bottles underneath the stool if you have guests over as well!! So good!!
You are so talented! 💚💚
0:22 You have a cat. That’s your cat 😂
I was thinking a cat water bowl 😂❤️
I am now realizing that might be exactly what that bowl is 😂😂
Can we say - hair - VA-VA-VOOM! Seriously beautiful, Tina!
What great finds! Such a talent you are! The candle holder with the outline and moth, so cute!! And the ottoman with its rich new color? So pretty! Making a footstool out of a wine rack? Who thinks that??!! Do love the squiggles!! ~ ~ ~
Have a blessed day and a fabulous week!!
xxoo
I loved that wood shelf. Why paint everything over? Ahhh
that's so neat. the foot stool was so creative, it satisfied my Mind-blown-by-Tine Le itch
Lol to the background halo @1:35 as you pray to the thrift gods
I also noticed, she looked so angelic ❤️😇
❤😊wow great finds love the transformation 😊
Oh I love that decor that you created, I also love that you painted that silver that black it looks so much nicer. I also love that you made that ottoman that lovely color. Thanks again for sharing another great video that I really had a lot of fun watching, have a great rest of your day, sending love and hugs, bye!! 😊😂🥰👋👍💪💝💜💜
try 'just like the model' also in Irvine!! they have a lot of stuff from model homes.
That is literally a candle shelf. The mirrors are to reflect the candle flame.
I like how you did your hair!!
My first thought was that it’s an altar 🕉️ and I love what you did with it!!
A jello mold!! That's what the copper fish is. 🙂
Maybe you could turn the wine rack on its side to create something.
Oh my goodness your work room is awesome and you have a saw and everything....Wow
I would have left the wine rack as a wine rack not a stool. It's not giving. The candle shrine is beautiful.
I volunteer at The Assistance League in Sacramento. It is all volunteer, no paid positions and the funds go to help the women and children in the community. AL tends to get high end donations and lots of less common but high quality items. As with any thrift shop, timing is everything. BTW, adore your videos and projects.
As a crafter I love stores like that...
l'altare per candela è meraviglioso ❤
Your hair is so gorgeous!!! What did you style with in the intro?
Not gonna lie. It's a beautiful color!
Nice store
I have two squiggle table lamps and 2 tall squiggle candlesticks that have almost gone to the yard sale so many times. They are from the early 80's and maybe cost $70 total new.
I made a similar wooden piece over 30 years ago in woodshop. There were 2 shelves and I used it in the corner of the room to display a picture and small decor items ( whatnots)
Get a car❣️❣️😻
Also, I think that wood / mirror piece was intended to be a candle holder because the mirror reflects the light
Edit: get a CAT not car 😅 silly autocorrect
I was also thinking that was the case too! Such a fun find and worked out perfectly for me 😍😍
Yes that piece reminds me of the late 80s early 90s decor!
@@starshine3940 I was thinking 60-70's!
I have that fish’s bigger brother. 😂✨
Trop beaux
Great job! BTW, have you been to the Habitat for Humanity Restore yet? There are two locations in OC.
Wow- so lucky to have so many options! Our area has flea markets, and it is likely one might actually pick up some fleas along with one's purchases...
😝
It’s a jello mold
1:36 Unintentional Saint 😄
I love your creativity! I think the ottoman is great and looks so good dyed. But to be really honest, the little "foot stool" still looks like you stuck a wine rack under it. ❣
❤❤❤❤❤
Where is wet my fabric before I dye it have you tried doing that?
Nice job on the ottoman. Nothing was said or implied about using a water repellent spray. Did you do this?
🎉🎉🎉
I see someone already told you that white "stand" is a cat food dish.
So question … how does that dye dry? Is it still soft or crackly? Love what you did. Tfs
It’s soft!! It took a couple of days to dry completely but worked really well 👌🏼
Love your projects. Looking
For others to watch, posting similar content mailey elaine, is my new fave , what's yours
What happened to studio calme?
The first place Tina went based on the prices seemed to be more of an antique store than a thrift store
No, Home Consignment Center is not an antique store. It gets overstock from furniture stores and also pieces used to stage homes that are no longer needed - stagers update their inventory frequently. Sometimes they get older pieces from estate sales, but that's the exception, not the rule.
@dianeschenkelberg8270
Ah, that explains the less than thrifty prices, thank you for explaining.
👍🍀😻
😍🤎👍🏻♻️✅️🛋
Hello Tina you have a radio personal voice
Adopting a cat is nothing but a positive. You can build thinks for the cat for your content (cat tree, bed, etc.), show your kittie on your videos and you will have an uptick of subscribers due to animal lovers.
Cute ideas.
I hope you aren't using that power saw while home alone dear
So why did you covered in white group send it off and then just covered in paint it seems like you could’ve skipped those first two steps
Those are cat bowls 😂😂 I guess you need a cat
Wunderbar 👍👏👏👏🙋🏻♀️🫶🏼
The shelf is just a basic corner shelf...someones wood working project.
these are both adorable, especially the candle holder. but it would be really nice if you credited Dani DIY for the idea for the table/footstool, especially since she JUST did that project... I've seen you do this many times before, rip off other DIY artists and not credit them, and it's getting kind of old.
You are assuming that she copied other creators, but how do you really know she did? Some people come up with similar ideas all on their own. Most of the time, creators will reproduce or attempt to reproduce some trendy piece produced by a trendy vendor/ manufacturer, and if they are working from the same source, then their projects will look similar
DIY Danie added a live edge wood. This is completely different.
Don't watch her if you don't like her videos. People are always inspired by other people.
That’s not fair. She often credits other makers.
Mailey Elaine made one from scratch a good while ago, which is very much like the one DIY Danie made - and that's because they were both creating something they had seen in shops, for less. In this case, the result isn't really that similar other than in concept - certainly not in aesthetic - and that's because Tina was clearly upcycling her thrift finds. It's really not unusual for different people to come up with similar ideas, completely independently of each other...
