That's the variation called rotorii. In this variation, colors vary. They can be reddish brown to scarlet red to dark red to almost black. In the Philippines, they're not a reliable bloomers at sea level. It's the v var merrilii and var immaculata that can bloom reliably under lowland conditions. There is also a yellow form blotched in reddish brown from Mindoro that is more suitable for lowland cultivation and is,in my opinion, the most fragrant variation of the species.
Beautiful and love how you explain everything and take us through the parts of the plant. One question is how do you keep bugs off your plants? When my Vandas bloom the flower gets dirstorted/ destroyed by some bug. How do you keep your bugs off?
Glad you’re back! What kind of watering schedule do u follow? Do u subscribe to the two minute break and 3 fold watering, or would u rather have a sprinkler that gives a misting every hour? Do the roots need to be green for a longer part of the day?
Same as before, If you have 3 spikes, you are doing something right! Plant is using a lot of energy right now, so make sure to apply ample water to help hydrate the spikes :)
Lovely Species, Excellent video
Glad to see you're making videos again.
Why no videos since two years???

Beatifuul👍👍👍
Mainly Vandas we miss you. How about a video on making keikis from your favorite vandas? Post soon.
Cool Species!!! Well grown!!!
I think that is the variety rotorii. There is one with yellow splash on the sepals and petals which is the immaculata variety. 🥰
Very well could be. Taking it to AOS judging tomorrow, so they will help determine that. :)

Great videos love your vandas. I have a question. My one vanda, Kyra Green Minghaus, is sending out 3 bud spikes. How often should I water it now?

Hopefully you’re not done with TH-cam. I find your videos so helpful.
Do you sell Vandas?
