recently got same one. in my opnion for wearing it as waist bag(fannypack) it requires custom belt with buckle. its actually what im going to do with my bag.
What's so freaking God awesome amazing about a zipper having three letters engraved into the pull tab? I'm not downing that the bag does or doesn't have zippers with YKK engraved. Maybe 5.11 didn't want to pay for the extra step of engraving. Maybe if they painted the zippers the engraving got filled in. Maybe they just make dang reliable zippers and don't reference that year after 1999. Does anyone really look for this or change their mind of a purchase because the tab on a zipper???
I notice you mention the zippers are not YKK, well according to the spec sheet they are? I though they werent at first either, they dont feel as good as some ykk zips I have used, but apparently they are ykk, how have the zippers held up?
You can mention thembfor sure. I was kinda joking in a way. But since this bag is designed as an active shooter bag I just wsnted to be cautious using that term.

I like this as to a chest rig for dmr type things where you can flick it to the side and get prone a little easier

They have held up perfectly. Never had any problems.

I just saw it on LA Police gear for $62. Couldn't find it on Amazon or 5.11.

Look at a fly fishing cross body bag. Bigger less intrusive in public and can do a good cross body swing with the side pocket
