Why finally? Basically only Kingdom Hearts are cloud games. World ends with you, Trials of Mana, I am Setsuna, all Dragon Quest games, Octopath, Triangle, Bravely, Chocobo, Final Fantasy from 7 to 12, Crystal Chronicles, Nier... all of them are actual ports (or even exclusives). I really hate that they made KH as cloud, but can't hate Square's output on Switch.

Not just the developers, Epic has been working to optimize the Unreal engine 4 for switch as well, just look at the updated version of Ark Survival Evolved on switch, it went from the worst looking to one of the best looking ones, so it is not surprise developers can squeeze more out of the switch.
This game was originally made for psp and then remastered with upgraded graphics and QOL changes. At it's heart, it's still a psp game. Switch is indeed underpowered for 2022 standards. A game like Final fantasy 7 remake would probably be on cloud if it ever comes to switch.
@@gohan12991 Crisis Core Reunion is not a remaster, it's a full remake. Remaster is when you replace assets with new ones of better quality, but the code remains the same (or with some minor tweaks). In remake you write the game mostly if not fully from scratch. It's absolutely impressive that they achieved such level of quality on Switch.

This is a remaster of a PSP game. Pokemon S&V is an open world game with hundreds of playable monsters with lots of moves and depth that need to be fine tuned and developed to work in the open world. It likely just needs better hardware.

Still Pokémon is a game of many creatures and mechanics with many details and nuances and the Switch is showing its age even with capable games like Bayonetta. It's like how Final Fantasy was originally turn based and went more action oriented when the hardware was capable of running everything that goes on in battle properly. It's why the big "Breath of the Wild" Pokémon game that came out earlier this year wasn't full blown open world and only had around 250 available Pokémon.

This game was built on the psp version and put in Unreal Engine while FF7R is a pure ue project which btw took a lot of optimization for it to even run on the ps4. And let me remind you, the ps4 version was absolutely struggling to run the game at a constant 30 and was already being a jet engine to many. The switch can barely run pokemon violet and scarlet, can barely run witcher 3, no shot is something like 7R is ever coming.
Switch is outdated, but if optimized properly, the game can still look and run well on it, just like Crisis Core did here, along with other ported games like Nier: Automata and Witcher 3, and Nintendo exclusive games like Botw and Xenoblade Chronicles. All those games just put Pokemon Scarlet/Violet to shame.
After trying the kingdom hearts demo I was thoroughly disappointed despite having immaculate wifi. I debated buying this so I decided to see how it functions through someone else’s console, and I must say I am impressed. It was this or p5s since I beat 3,4n now 5 but imma have to get this now
Seems like a good game to play on switch but I like playing at 60fps more than handheld so I guess I will get it on ps5. Really wish nintendo would update the switch
@@Raf8347 The models are the same, the game is just being rendered at a lower resolution. Look at the ps5 version, it's very noticeable with Sephiroth's hair that the game uses lower quality models compared to FF7 Remake, for some reason.
Ever since they ported nier automata on switch, they managed to make crisis core playable on switch as well. Hopefully this means kingdom hearts will get a physical version someday or only the digital for storage capacity. Probably never though 🥲

Another game that proves the Switch isn't underpowered, a lot of the devs just suck at optimizing.
It's still underpowered, but when devs actually try, they can put out some really good looking stuff.

at least the frame rate is stable and not all over the place I can deal with it being just 720p
