Gillig is the only American-owned, American-operated transit/commuter bus manufacturer in the US. They've been in business for over 100 years. EVERY US transit system ought to be purchasing their buses.
Nice buses (except for the piece of garbage Van Hool (at 3:05. 😕) BUT they have an annoying air dryer purge that is really LOUD. 😡 There is a bus stop in front of my neighbor's house, so I hear it quite a bit. The transbay versions are nice; very comfortable. 😁👍🏽
@@cats0182 One of their directors headed the acquisition team and he had an unreasonable dose of 'Euro Fever'. He persuaded the board that his utopian ideals were the trend of the future. They weren't. That's the best I can give you for an explanation.
