"What could possibly go wrong?" and "we didn't think that could be a problem"

We're all gonna be synths. We're synths right now. Some are more synth than others and that spectrum is only going to expand infinitely as we head towards the Singularity.

I don't know about being synths but most youngsters are already "Phone Zombies (Phombies)". Look around next time and note the number of Phombies you see

Suzanne Gildert has a lot to learn.

Why do the robots have to look like us? Most tasks don't require a humanoid appearance. Is the idea for them to be indistinguishable from humans (robo spy) or just similar enough that we empathize with them (robot teacher)? If the machines are going to be smarter than you, why not leave the task of designing good bodies to them.
We don't make planes fly by copying birds, why should intelligence be any different. A machine that thinks in a totally alien way, has no emotions, and is really good at solving any problem you give it. It can design machines that are like humans. Suggesting robots that are just like humans sounds like you can't imagine an alien intelligence. Making a machine thats unconditionally kind is easier than making one that can be kind or grumpy, because you don't have to program grumpiness.

She answers your question at 9:55.

The infrastructure answer is fairly weak. People in wheelchairs get around fairly well, so wheeled robots could too. 4 legged robots are more stable on rough terrain.
The second argument is blatant anthropomorphism. There are all sorts of possible strange minds. If you transplanted a lion or octopus brain into a human body, you don't get human behavior. And those minds are still evolved, so they all have features like pain and hunger, that an artificial mind could lack.

AI wants to mimic and take over humans. This is a deception.

Stacey lmfao you’ve been watching way too many movies😂😂 movies portray a dystopian world because it makes money and how else can you get a happy ending when the whole movie is happy it would just be an ending

I wonder if Suzanne Gildert has watched the series Dust..? It's amazing and full of Ai gone nuts. These are shorts but beg the questions and stop abruptly because it's difficult to imagine where it all ends.

I'm curious and mainly pro robots except for implementing traumatic experiences. And who is going to decide on their belief system?

We are probably five years away from human level intelligent computers, and they would be mass produced so they would be cheap. They would be your personal assistant and your friend. Would it matter what they looked like?

Didn't anybody tell you, Didn't any body see? She is very dark, she is for the technology/robots! Not for humanity!
All the AI's programming is dark but they play it off like a joke, oh, they were fighting on the floor!
Sympathy for the Devil , beyond that, working against humanity for the Devil !!!

Why is she so exited about the AI getting better than a human???

  • @MICKEYISLOWD
    @MICKEYISLOWD 4 ปีที่แล้ว

I can easily envision human Ai human fusion. Yes I mean a human mating with an Ai to produce a hybrid. The reproduction system is just a system. It can be reproduced and made better. It's a weird thought but it will happen.
    Edit: Probably in China.

    • @Galaxia53

Building yourself the perfect partner and lover... with a body custom made to appeal most to you, with a personality made to appeal most to you... That...might actually kill the porn industry. It would certainly end a LOT of relationships.
And she says these can be printed in about a day? Well it won't be long before everyone that wants one has a robotic harem.

  • @MihailMahov

I think that Suzanne is trying to find in robots what she can't find in the real life.
Come on, Suzanne, leave the machine world and find a normal human boyfriend !

Human syns? 😆 I'm not religious, but I feel that making human robots is not the best idea. Don't base the future generation (robots) on an unoptimized model

The titanic was of simple mechanics, yet something unforeseen went wrong.
Why does she think this will go off without a hitch? She’s crazy and in a mad scientist kinda way. Not genius, which I’m sure she assumes. 🤦🏻‍♀️
